This is a very good thing. And I agree that it is hard, coming from that kind of environment, to believe you will experience the same kind of thing in a different environment around different people.
Now to the reality. GF has said the population of Cho was not sufficient for the last event that was held on Arispotle. That leads me to believe that the population on Cho NEEDS to unite together, regardless of faction or race.
Arispotle has a larger population, which also includes everything that a larger population would bring. It may surprise you to find that, lo and behold, there are many people of both factions that help each other out. Each of the factions on Arispotle are large enough to stand on their own. Many of the guilds on Arispotle are large enough to stand on their own without external assistance.
Cho is not the default server choice for English-speaking players. People new to a game likely pick the default choice if one is given. That is the largest reason I picked Arispotle, and it is likely the same reason others chose Arispotle. A secondary reason is that I heard there were more people on Arispotle. More people means more variety of people is likely to be present, more likely for there to be someone around who can answer a call for help or answer a question, and more likely to find a personality or two that matches your own.
Any community, when they are small and everyone knows everyone (or when persecuted), can work together much easier than a larger community. As numbers increase, more personality types appear, it becomes hard for everyone to know everone else, and smaller cliques begin to form. It's the same difference between going to a small school or university compared going to a large school or university.
What you see on Arispotle is what you'd see on Cho if the population increased to comparable sizes and server choice was truly random for new players. I agree that it sucks, but people suck sometimes. There are things the Arispotle community can and should do about it, and there are things GF can and should do about it. Just because they play on the Cho server doesn't mean they don't suck.

Um, oki, if you say so.
Naturally, you do realize that given the fact that there -are- hotheads (on both servers) who actively post in the forums, that you are stirring up a nest of bees with your post? If you were, in fact, preparing as you so indicate, then it would really only concern the population of Cho and not necessarily something you'd want to use to try to start a flame-fest.
So, forgive me if I think you're full of (something) with that last bit.
For those moving from Cho to Arispotle, what you will have initially on Arispotle is what you bring with you. Attitude, cooperation, friendships, enemies, anything and everything. Most people seem to be willing to welcome you with open arms, many of them having experienced a similar migration themselves. I wouldn't expect attitudes such as what you display (or from others on Cho, if what you say about /uni is true) will be very welcomed on Arispotle.
And be sure that your community that you bring with you is large enough to stand on its own on Arispotle before you try to become a third faction. Burning bridges before you even cross them is ... bad.
