Let's not forget that the Ring allows access from all servers. It could be possible to run some events simultaneously for residents of both Arispotle and Cho. I don't think the Ring is up to taking huge numbers of players - it was seriously over strained tonight - but smaller events, probably less influential to the storyline, could run very well there.

As its based on a ring scenario, one can change/modify an event for cho, and even run it the day after or later in the same day. There is no real excuse why cho should have been totally neglected. if staffing is the problem? well you've had 10 weeks to sort that out. The former volunteer team managed events on both servers and catered to euro and NA times.

Not being in Euro OR US timezones I pretty much miss
all the RP events, so dont feel special about being underprivileged
Didnt even hear about whatever this event was, but on Aris, most PvP events were organised by players (big cheer to Tyilin/Anatti)..
If you want something organised, make the effort..

ooh and EDIT::: I agree 100% with Tydamus. mate your doing a great job and i appreciate it big time! even if others dont *shrugs*
*two thumbs up*
As a rant, I have to give you just one thumb up... you managed to put something constructive into it, diluting the 'rantiness' somewhat. Still, for your first time, not too bad a performance

This is a tough one, in many regards I don't feel Cho should even have Outpost's available to them. Cho was basically "SoR for Failed Guild's on Aristople" when it began... you got all the toys of a new server without having done anything that the other servers had to do to become what they are.
The flipside is, you pay the same as me (who rarely plays since the "Saga" died) so you deserve all they have to offer as a customer. DT would say you already got "right's" not earned... as a player I have to look at the customer side too.
Cho has things that Windemeer/Aristople communites had to earn, but they also help pay the bills (though doubtful enough to pay for the extra server)... as a consumer and devoted SoR player since beta... this one is tough !
<EDIT> DT would think that the money wasted on Cho would be better served hiring folks, in Dev and CSR.</EDIT>

Well, after seeing the even in arispotle, I cn confidently say that you Cho people didn't miss all that much.
and if you do have it, you will have less problems with it htan we did, due to fewer players.

I think that says it all really. I really do sympathise, but why should Cho be any different to Aniro or Leanon?
Even despite the "technical problems" that are mentioned, the 4 servers all have different backgrounds and storylines and I think they should stay that way. As long as Cho gets its fair share in the long run that is...

I can sympathize with players on Cho but, as it has been stated a few times here, the new Event Team is still testing the waters for implementing events within the Ryzom mechanics. Tydamus points out that Cho will be getting events that be handled by the smaller population on that server.
While the event did have some flaws, it did allow for both PvEr's and PvP ers to have some fun.
Until such time as the CSR team is up to full strenght or more, we have to remember this is OUR game and to a great extent we, the community, are the face that most new players will interact with. Lets make that experience the same for them like it was and still is for us.

cho should have events too.... but why should cho have as much time spent on it as aris? you are asking them to spend vastly more time per player it will affect.
an event on aris can be enjoyed by hundreds if not thousands of people.
an event on cho has a much smaller audience, maybe a hundred at best.
you knowingly have chosen to play on a server with far fewer players. you cannot now turn around and say: we want the same as aris. If you want the same as aris, come play here.
also: you have kept on interjecting your complaints into this event - do you want all the population of aris to come and post whining comments all over your event spoiling it for you?
