WTHell?! you dont agree with him? Let me requote..
If the first thing you do, when getting to a new game is looking for the spoiler sites to milk them to the fullest of their abbillity then you are just the wrong type of player for what some of us wish for this game.

Sadly (if) you are exactly that type of player that most other games cater for and get hooked on these "easy ways" to "best the game"...
I have issues with that type of player, don't you? If a new player doesnt bother to put any work into anything then i think that speaks volumes for the tytpe of person, i personaly wouldnt want to associate myself.

I don't mind if people have tried, but still find themself stuck, then use a site such as BM. fair play, at least they tried. but the type of player Acr is portraying is the type of player who comes in and starts straight away with trying to beat the system.

But, at the end of the day, the player who does that will ultimately lose out.

Ive used Both RR and BM sites over my time, generally speaking not for 'spoiler' answers. BM offers the dressing room, XP Calculator, Action tree breakdown etc etc, Raum offers Craft item mats used, Mob names and region locations etc etc.

Personaly i find it better to look for the mats myself. (i dont know if it still true) BM is VERY good for tryer regions etc, but not so hot in fyros (where i did)

Thank you for the clarification Josh.
I´ve never said anything against these sites and I use them myself on occassion, so I am the last one to condemn them, or others who use them for what they were intendet to, help.

Not walkthroughs.

Unforunately, such amassing of information culminates in exactly that for some people.
And for some an "if" and a general statement about Gaming Culture as it has become in the last few years, mainly because of that game "whose name shalt not be uttered", is something that seems to tickle their conscience and they have to strike back at it, *shrug* so be it.

I don´t mind.

Well I was going to make a nasty reply here, but I decided against it. Sorry you feel this way man.

I thought u guys hold the value of play the game as ever how u want high... still the only thing i see "old school" players do is moan over how new players tend to play the game, u guys should realise not everyone is like u, me or your neighbour and should value every player this game has.... since thats the thing this game needs the most... by telling them they arent Ryzom worthy u will only give a very bad impression of the once held so high Ryzom community.... *sighs*

Otherwise well said, Mokdarion. Except that you and your neighbour maybe don't appreciate the change?

(given the fact old school was used and In " 's - ref to my most recent thread i take the above quoted as directed at me)

Why did you try to second guess what i was trying to say, like you know me. I would strongly suggest against posting like you know me again. Becuase you most certianly have no idea about who i am. I've never ONCE Generalised new players or put a sterotype on a group of people depending on the length of time they have been playing. nor will i ever do that.

Also dont presume to tell me what to do. It's not for me to value every single person who steps onto the mainland. Maybe if i ran the company, then yes. sure If they were paying me like they pay GF :P aris then of course.

The way i see it, i value people i get to know and respect. Even the people i dont like i value, as they bring new things for me to learn not only about Ryzom. but about myself. If i spent my entire time trying to really appreciate everyone i walked past i wouldnt get anything done. (Just for clarifacation i do know that everyone who pays for ryzom helps keep me playing. im not disputing that. but if i dont respect the way someone plays i dont have to value that person)

Would u like me to edit all my posts and add 'IMO' all over them? I dont speak on behalf of anyone but myself. - I dont think that people who havent invested the time in trying to suceed should take the easy way out. I think that BM and RR (incidently: hats off the the popel who do make those sites they are a fountain of knowledge) should be used wisely. If you rely on them too much then you are weaker for it. Like if you use drugs all the time instead of letting your body fight it off naturally. Same goes for people who use the uni chat without even bothering to work it out for themselves.

Ive admitted that ive used BM and RR, Acr said that he does as well. so its not the use of the site, its the WAY its used.

Although your post did make me smile, as it was hypocritical. As not only did you generalise older players, but the whole community as well based on a couple of posts. [sarcasim] Good going.[/sarcasim]

Now, if you please, point out to me where I (or acr) have singled out a particular player telling them they are not 'Ryzom worthy' ? In both our posts we explaind our views, then said that its fine for them to use any resource avaible to them as they wish, Its just not the way we roll. If you dont believe me go re-read our posts. I wasnt trying to single out anyone in this thread. I just afreed that people who use (what some may call) 'spolier sites' too much arnt going to get on well with me, and, yes i am free to explain my person opinions like that on a public general forum.

Allow me to single out a bit then for you Anatti.

[insert humor] U n00bz n33d to grO up! [/end humor] (Did I do that right?)

Really. Stop taking what Anatti And Acr say so personally. Does that mean that you really do overuse the site after all and dont take the time to truly learn Atys? You wouldn't get so offended otherwise, right?

If that isn't true, then calm down, really. It's not necessary. All this gibberish because someone asked a question about the Raum site being a bit off (or whatever).

*****FLAME-WAR ALERT*****
wow guys chill out ! It's just a website created to help pple out ! And the fact that some pple may "spoil" their gameplay by constantly using it is how they chose to play the game !
It's like someone who can't be bothered to cook and goes out to buy a pizza !
Some pple have active RL lives and don't spend as much time on ryzom as others do. Whch is why they don't know/don't have the time to discover every location of supreme amber in PR or every spots of excell node in the desert and use ryzom.raum to save time. It's a tool. Not a spoiler.

*adjusts halo* Now please let's stop the stupid arguments here :)
