If Nevrax was paying even one full time salary for the events in 2006, they deserve to be bankrupt.

I know that it is there, and I appreciate it very much. But what about the outside appearence of the game? I don't think that in case of a evolving game a 'no news is good news' attitude only can be harmfull. And I don't think a casual visitor will find the news section in the forums.

I only wanted to point out a area, where improvement could help.

Wow...everyones so brutal on GF...you guys are saying that in 2 months they should have created a support, events, and forum teams?
as a RL manager myself wouldn't they need to be trained? as i have seen many are busy chasing peoples false attacks on OPs,unsticking mobs that many are exploiting. not to mention how hard the tools for the events would be to use. Come on if it was east there would be tons and tons on the ring ;)
many of the wyners must not have been here in Beta,Its amazing that any would be here after patch 1. So come on guys and gals give them some slack on events. Im giving them 6 months or better for a event, remember they did take over from some one trying to run from a uber dept. As I see it if your not wyning about events you'll be wyning about development or support or any thing that doest go your way.

Mmm, doesn't strike you more that they shouldnt have fired the one they got without a replacement in place? We are _paying_ for a service that got cut without a backup.

The lack of Ring scenarios being created and run has nothing to do with the ease-of-use of the tool. That is mainly due to people not wanting to sit around in their scenario doing nothing just so it stays up.

Aside from that, I don't know if Ring elements were ever actually implemented as event tools for the rest of the game. There was talk of it, and a few events were run inside Ring scenarios, but whether Ring has anything to do with the tools of regular events...

We were paying for a service that caused the previous owners to go bankrupt.
We were faced with the possibility of Ryzom ceasing to exist.

When faced with the two choices, 1) You don't exist anymore, but you have "great" service up until the very last day, or 2) You exist but you will temporarily lose some services until the replacements can get worked out ... which would you choose? I'm glad GF chose what they chosem especially considering some of the other comments about things that happened (or not, as the case may be) before my time here.

If I had expected that voicing my concerns leads to such disputes, I would never had posted it. Sorry that my english is not that good, that I easily can avoid missunderstandings.

I think it is time to close this thread.

Mabey i wasn't clear enough or your trimmed the quote to make it sound bad.
give the new event staff time to be trained ans use the tools they have.
i was just giving a reference to Ring tools. I am sure events will be much harder then ring scenarios. as a tester yourself you should know that its not easy getting it right.

Seems to me you should at least give some of the blame to the Jolt CSRs who just upped and left. From what I hear, the support teams on Aniro and Leanon barely changed people at all, but here they all just left (maybe some stayed but they must have got renames if they did). Can hardly blame GF for that now can you.

Perhaps it was the way that GF treated Jolt with regards to the whole sudden change of plans thing? Not sure why the other servers CSRs stuck around, maybe they werent as close or perhaps GF was more up front with them.

And I am sure _you_ are happy with the new situation. Got what you wanted out of it eh?
