Well, didnt you figure it out yet?
Cho server was a mistake, was a last resort before bankrupcy.

I hadn't heard of them but according to the information on their sites they have a large number of players in their other games. Advertising on other sites would be good but you'd can't judge how good the advertising they do is from a position of knowing nothing about their other games and sites. Your judging them with just the assumption that because you and some of us had never heard of them that their sites must be tiny and have no one look at them?tr808 wrote:Yea people told me u advertise on ur own site but be realistic, i never heared of u guys b4 u took over and i believe so did the rest of the people here
The free trial gives enough to give people an idea if they like the way the basic skill trees work. There is more to the game that like outposts it doesn't give an idea off but gives a good idea of the core of the game. Enough to know if you like the core design or not.tr808 wrote:still i believe current free trial just doenst offer enough to keep most people interested.
Lovely rolling eyes there Mok, always easy to discuss opinions with someone that shows so much respect for different opinions....tr808 wrote:And do these new people stay? Or do they quit after they got lvl 21? Cuz thats what i am noticing
Humm and what would you sujest? It is there so people can try a little PvPer dueling if they want .... what more would you want on the trial for PvPer? Make a part of the Ruins of Silan a PvPer area? Even if the tutorial missions take you in there?tr808 wrote:But about that pvp arena, who use it on Silan? I have a toon on it and i never see people fight in arena tbh.
I can understand what your saying Mok but does increasing the skill cap on Silan for non-subscribers help any either? What would you learn about fight, magic or craft by 50 that you don't get a good idea off by 21 in them?tr808 wrote:This all boils down to the very low lvl cap, u guys maybe dont want to see it but i really think it is a problem.
In your opinion it is a mistake. I enjoy Cho alot more then Aripostle, so my opinion of it is very different.putterix wrote:Well, didnt you figure it out yet?

Ahh right, my mistake. Yes I agree.tr808 wrote:I think u misunderstood me here, i dindt ment to say they should open it up for pvp, i was just saying it isnt really used that much, so i cant see the point in ganking being a big problem on Silan.
Well I'm not againts it as an idea (although I'd probably make it a week long free trial of the mainland not cost 4 euro) but I'm unconvinced it would help at all because Ryzom already does alot compared to other MMOs. There is no time limit on the Ruins of Silan (I was there for a month before I registered, although that was with the level 50 limit) and you don't have to pay for the box price for Ryzom but considering that and that getting to level 21 on the Ruins of Silan does give you a fair idea of how the skills work I'm unconvinced that increasing the skill cap or giving a limited time on the mainland would make players that don't stay after the current trial any more likely too.tr808 wrote:The whole idea from this post came after a couple of people from other forums came and actually tryed Ryzom and confronted me with the lvl cap and claiming it didnt gave them enough feeling with the game to roll out 15 euro's for it, hence why i propused the one time one week 4 euro (or w/e) Subscription so people can check out the mainland and see what they are buying
Fair points. Seeming one of the strengths of the trial is the no time limit uping the skill cap back to 50 so people that play intentsively don't hit caps and feel there is nothing to do or see would be good.iceclad wrote:I can say from my own behalf that would I have been seeing a level cap at 21 in Silan when I started I wouldn't be here now. I started playing at the time when subscriptions were not possible, so there also was no level cap in Silan.
One reaches lvl 21 so quickly that not many will be addicted at that time. Sure they get a look at how the game looks like, but getting them addicted is what Mokdarion means here I guess. Have to agree with him here, someone who is addicted is bound to pay the price to play more. There are many MMOs out there and people play what they get addicted on.
they should just remove xp reward in tutorial missions on silan. no such thing in mainland anyway.iceclad wrote:IOne reaches lvl 21 so quickly that not many will be addicted at that time.
