It is not too late, join the light!
the past does matter.
No Tryker should ever forgive or forget the massacre of the Tryker refugees by the evil Zorai, or the
fact that Zorai were the ones to introduce slavery, despite all the propaganda about the Matis.
The Zorai aspire to be closer to Kami, by displaying the same total lack of care for the value of Homin life. nothing could be further from the Tryker ideal than that.

I met these young Trykers as they set out on their first journeys from the lakes. Their conviction of spirit, willingness to listen and build bridges rather than burn them told me all I needed to know. Faa and I spent many hours talking quietly in the jungle, of the past, of the Kami, the Karavan, our place on Atys.
The founding of Demons Crossroads provided a conduit for homins of all races to come together, the ranks of Team Spirit expanded and a diverse guild grew. The mistrust brought about by the actions of our forefathers slowly melted away as we found common ground.
The past is done, we cannot escape it, but to be forever bound by the actions of those long departed is to stagnate. The values of the Federation can be appreciated by all, the values of the Matis and their rampaging alliance threaten and destroy. They have no desire to change, to adapt to our new life. They spew forth their propaganda, attempting to poison with words, when the words fail we have all seen the consequence, any independent guilds who dare not to join them are pushed aside, conquered, destroyed. They will not be content until they crush all resistance to their rule.
One of the final free Karavan guilds is under attack this very same evening, they have resisted the alliance many years, watched their fellows fall by the wayside, refused as some have done to become puppets with Matis masters.
They will tell you they have your best interests at heart; want nothing but to build relations with the Tryker. Listen to your hearts; see with your own eyes the truth. Atys has to make a stand, you have to make a stand, before the Matis destroy all we hold dear.

These last 'free Karavan guilds' you speak of? The ones with such close ties to the Kami followers, our foes. Friends of our enemy also find themselves to be our enemy.

Trykers of all creeds, guilds and persuasions, stand Tall !! (erhem) and fight with you brothers to free your lands from foreign influence.
Lay aside religous drivel bred by a creed of greed and remember the core Tryker value of freedom and that freedom withers when our outposts are held by vassals of the Matis with no eye for tolerance except in slavery to the Karavan.

I will stand with those tryker I count as free, free from kami influence, free from those who twist age old lore to suit their twisted mission and when the fog of war clears I will stand above the bodies of my enemy and lament those who believed the lies of their cause.
(ooc) nice to see a well times attack with no sillyness, my respect for team spirit has improved.

*Riveit reads the news and shakes his head sadly, remembering the friendly young Trykers that he welcomed in Avendale 5 Jena years ago. How could they have fallen so far under the influence of the Kamis? Their minds have been so twisted that they read the Book of Goals, forbidding them to ever take a mission from the Kamis, and use it as a Kamist gospel. Once they swore that Kamists would never to invade the forests and lakes, but now the Kamis have made them believe that the Lagoons of Loria is in the jungle.*
arfindel wrote:then more news about the Matis subdued tryker guilds trying to take over in their old sunny lands.
*Riveit gets to this part and bursts out laughing! Aeden Artisans, Ballistic Mystix and Guardians of Jena are subdued by the Matis? Pero, Mardock and Kilgoretrout subdued? HAHA! Well maybe Kilgoretrout gets a bit subdued after one of the huge multi-course meals of his?

Say what you will about us, but Aeden Artisans is one of the oldest and largest Tryker guilds. Our detractors like to call us Matis, apparently their eyes are blinded by Ma-duk. We are Tryker citizens and Tryker to the core. We hold fast to the Karavan values of our Tryker forefathers.

Hehe cmon Riveit, if I saw Ma-Duk I would spit in his eye and blind him, but I will still take Tryker values over Karavan subservience.
I hope our Lady Jena keeps a watchfull eye on the Trykers and the lakes and will send her Karavan to aid us in time of great need but I will play Robot Stormtrooper for no-one.

Does this imply that the Matis will not participate in this battle, since they "now respect our right to build our society as we feel fit"?

With those that truely
"share a faith in Jena" I should think so.
