While it is very nice that your guild participated in the raid the other night. As others have said, you were only one of many and with this thread are consciously or subconsciously trying to spin that participation into something far closer to "the entire resolution to the problem". Frankly your obnoxious recruiting efforts have polluted this thread that could have been simply "hey we did this, yay us! Look what we did" goodwill, into something rather trollish. The thread itself should have been placed in the guild forum and I feel it rather rude that you feel that the general forum is fit for guild recruiting propganda.

If you actually read the first post, it only states what there is proof for them to backup. They killed some critters, and are proud of it. Why shouldnt they be? I see no spin on this. I just see a lot of unwarranted backlash.

So rude of this guild to post screenshots of their accomplishments. I mean, WHY would the rest of us want to see screenies of someone besides ourselves doing well? I mean don't they realize that half this game is full of jealous little kids that cant just look at the screenshots and say 'wow' thats neat. So many people were involved in different areas of Magestic Gardens, yet this guild was the only one to bother to take AND share their pics so far so those not online could see what happened. And the gall for them to say their current recruitment status is open. People might see a guild that works well together and want to join it! Oh the horror... Guilds arent suppose to be organized and working together and such! Lets flame them some more!

I hope when you read my comment you did not feel it was instigating the situation, but if you did, so be it.

Them recruiting did hurt me in a way... so that answers that question.

I do not hate them nor whine about them, but my previous post was backed by reason... that answers that.

Some times post appear as flames, or "trolling" its all in how you percieve them.

Yes the first post isn't too bad and is mostly just their accomplishement with a little come join us blurb, it was tleilaxu's where just shy of half his post was a recruiting effort...

Them recruiting does not harm me, however them turning everything that their guild does into a blatant recruiting effort is a bad thing for the forum itself since it worsens the signal to noise ratio of the forum and tries to bring something that has it's own forum into this one.

I believe the issue is that they are claiming it is "their" accomplishment and taking all the credit, when in fact it was a massive effort on the part of many guilds and guildless players that made it happen. Not that I care, nor was I involved at all, just trying to enlighten you on what I think is making people pissy.

We are neither an elitist or arrogant guild.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm seeing both of the topics your guild has in the general section as being very arrogant.

I am sorry you are upset that our guild has recruitment standards that need to be met. These standards have been changed several times to better meet the needs of the guild, you were not singled out. Your friends joined the guild before those requirements were set in place. The next day you had joined a different guild, which basicly tells me you were not very interested to begin with. My guild requires dedicated people that know how to work hard to achieve goals set by the leadership. Thats the type of people we need.

Foraging in Atys makes the world go around. Everything in the entire game revolves around it. This is something i hope you come to realize in the future.

Also, if I missed some of your tells I appologize, those few days were extemely busy, and I do distinctly remember speaking with you on several occasions about your levels. You didnt meet the requirements at the time and all I asked was for you to work on them, and you would be added. Instead you decided to join a guild that didnt have those requirements. This is perfectly fine as different people look for different things in guilds. I hope your very happy in the guild you are in.

The pics - They were posted so those that missed out on the fun could see the wonderful event that the devs kindly held for us and i was PROUD of the job well done by my guild members and i absolutly wanted to show off what they had accomplished, if you dont like that, then you have that right. Just as much right as I have to brag about my people. I was proud at the 2 kills that our guild got, and there were no other guilds to help, nor 100's of other non guilded people except Elonis. The screenshots show each and every person hitting the mobs and they were all members of my guild.

However, as with anything, the intentions of that action can be inturpreted in many different ways. Your oppinion is your own and as such you are entitled to it. Any recruitment efforts we have are simply to show the world of Atys that a guild of dedicated players, with goals of being the best is out there. Its simply a way to allow good players to learn about us. Do we accept anything that will walk into the door? No.. as such we accept people that make the guild stronger not cause problems, drama, or in any other way make the guild weaker with their addition. I call that being smart, I'm sorry if you dont agree.

How can you meet standards if they change so often?

Well, your standards at that time stated that you would "Favor" those who had forage at lvl 40... I was at 30, so I understand I was not a "favored" option. You also stated that forage lvl was not a major factor. My other levels were also in craft/magic/melee and my melee lvl at that time was very good. I applied a day after one person I know who had less levels than myself. You changed standards in one day?!

The next day you had joined a different guild, which basicly tells me you were not very interested to begin with. My guild requires dedicated people that know how to work hard to achieve goals set by the leadership. Thats the type of people we need.

Why are you answering this reply... I spoke with you once, the only information I was given from you was, "Visit our web site." Cieran spoke with me, not you, so how would you know if I was interested or not?
Dediaction is hard to produce for standards that are so dynamic as yours. Tell me I did not meet your standards...fine, but do not label me a person who has no dedication.


As for foraging, I understand how it works, and learned well, I still even forage grouped with a member of your guild, so please don't speak to me like I lack the fundamentals of foraging.

If you changed your "requirements" so many times why didnt you just tell me this...I asked why would you not accept me, why would people who have lower levels be accepted and not me. I did not get an answer, I even said "So for some people added to your guild, the rules were ignored?"
I got nothing for a reply but a smiley face...good job explaining those standards that change so often.

While I understand your frustrations Ten, I think you should take this up with them privately. This thread was just their attempt to show the event that the gms have created. Lets stick to the topic. Congratz on your accomplishments Minyatur!.

I hope these events will be indications of things to come in the following days and I hope they will be held in every land and not just verdant heights.
