There've been two people, that I know of, who've roleplayed having children. Five if you count all involved in the processes. ( :p )

Fuchuan and Zespioles kids turned up to their wedding. But then it is easier to make "young-looking" trykers...

In at least one to-remain-nameless MMO, children were coded but never depicted, because NPCs could be killed. It came out in a chat with the dev/production team that the reason they were never implemented was because people had serious issues with the ideas that players could enact, even in a video game, serious representations of 'child abuse'. They did not want to risk very bad public relations by having someone's mother or something see this (that's the gist - I'm explaining it poorly this morning).
You know Jezi, I'd heard that too but thought it must be a silly rumor because people couldn't be that stupid... silly me, people -can- be that stupid.

One MMO I know of that featured children quite often is FFXI. There are plenty of children NPCs though there's very limited models. They give and take part in quests, there's even a "Doll Festival" based off a Japanese holiday dedicated to the children of Vana'diel where the Moogles give away sweetcakes that turn you into a child of whichever race you are :)

Can someone link some information on this nanoseed thing? I've heard about it, but never actually read up on it.

"What the heck is the nanoseed?" - a previous discussion, including a nice little theory put forward by Sanz. Miss ya ;)
Also a most informative post by Kaetemi - http://www.ryzom.com/forum/showpost.php ... stcount=23

I think there is also reference at the Karavan Temple of Light stating that Jena implanted homins with the nanoseed. And I'm sure I read somewhere that the nanoseed is the reason that the Karavan must wear those sealed suits, because the nanoseed is dangerous to them (perhaps it is really the other way around and they must maintain laboratory conditions and not contaminate Atys).

Excuse me for offtopic post

The Gibbai aren't the Zorai ancestors.

All the primitives are descendents of homins so polluted by the Draconic Ash that it caused these mutations.

All life on Atys is affected by the Draconic Ash. Homins have been changed from the form they had on their original home world by it.
This is why the Karavan must wear the biosuits to protect themselves.
