I figured that you didnt know about this, which is why I stopped playing taunt the troll immediately rather than offend other members of a guild I respect. Much respect to you Zorvax.

I wasn't going to say anything however since you said it, I COMPLETELY agree. Someone wanted to start a war on a neutral op, so what? Someone wasn't going to rez someone because they aren't the same religion, so what. It's a game. Simply just don't rez that person back.

This is no different than when I left so many months ago. Instead of people taking things in the spirit of the game, they take them well beyond that.

Seriously can anyone play an extremist without everyone going into massive apologies?

This is why once I get up to a decent level I will be going on my own and forming a guild that will be filled with extremists, no apologies, no kumbaya, just pure kami love, and hate for those who don't adore the kami.

Indeed, I never once said GoL would DO anything, I simply said that me and 1 or 2 others from GoL would not have qualms about attacking it, Raynes being one of them. Can anyone then tell me why instead of responding in the spirit of the game I was called a troll and shut down? Zorvax should not be apologizing for me, you guys should be apologizing TO me.....

As far as your opinion on resses, well lets just say I'm a dork then- for a few months I refused to res the majority of a guild (that shall remain nameless) after I saw them repeatedly engage in their favorite blood sport of ganking newbies and afk'ers.

There is no such thing as ganking, its a myth, if you play a PvP game and get killed, regardless of how you got killed, suck it up or take off your tag if you are tagged.

Ryzom isn't even a PvP game, it (a)spires to be one :p , but at the end of the day its a PvE game with homin mobs and it costs bugger all if you get killed compared to proper (I use the term advisidly :) ) PvP games, where you lose XP and gear etc.

To me, if I am tagged and I get killed by a bunch of enemies or one, its immaterial, I prefer it to getting killed by a bunch of kincher where i would lose XP.

I would always rez someone regardless of race etc. unless my guild was at war with you (not really applicable to ryzom that bit though :) )

I can understand a feeling of empathy with people getting killed as you suggest, but if the game allows it, then its fine by me, I play according to my rules of not being a ganker, they play by their rules of being gankers.

I cant see where rezzing comes into play, using it to piss off someone that hasn't broken any game rules and leaving them to get DP, when you could have so easily rezzed them, makes you a ganker too in certain respects :) . If it was RL in france you would be tried as an accessory to the death as you didn't do all in your power to prevent it.

Not getting at you personally Naratuul, just really expressing an opinion on PvP and using your quote to illustrate an opposing ideal :)

So lets see. a non pvp tagged player sitting peacefully afk gets a person in heavy armor come up and gas them with sources repeatedly till they die.

After sending a tell to a csr who assured me this behavior was INDEED against the CoC I decided that these players didnt need my support after all whats good for the goose etc...

PvP is another story you wear your tag and even though its lame to kill an afker its not unexpected.

As far as being considered a ganker for not ressing the gankers in question I suppose I'd wear that badge with pride :) Personally I looked at it as Karma lol.

He apologizes because thats not what he wants his guild to be... The best way for you to solve this prob for you is too...

Problem solved :) ... If he doesn't want a guild he is leading to be extremist, Then he doesn't have to let it be...

You CAN play an extremist, Just not in a non extremist guild...

Collateral damage due to poison clouds is something I first saw on Silan when fledgeling foragers were dropping like flies around Yelk hill.

It had not ocurred to me that this could be used deliberately and yeah that sounds like dirty pool. I worry sometimes though in places like Zora where a lot of lower level arrivees might practice near the stables, that a lot of people tend to hang out sitting or afk in the visible resource field. That's rather dangerous and unintended death could happen...

Glad to see that (1) highly organized guild activity is in this game, and that (2) the people in it communicate and take interguild relations seriously.

It's the kind of thing one would expect from a mature playerbase like Ryzom enjoys. Makes me glad I clicked that banner ad...
