Mark your calendars....I'm defending DT....
DT is a participant (if only in the sense that he has agreed not to attack the OP). I also think that he was perfectly justified and in-character with his reply. Playing nicely and without any grumbling really only makes sense from outside of the game.
From in-game, the reality is that we:
-Have no military strength of our own and rely on the goodwill (or grudging tolerance) of the other guilds and OP holders
-Serve no purpose except helping those member guilds that can't help themselves (directly or through alliance with another guild)
-Provide no value to guilds that HAVE an OP and, in fact, reduce the chances of them absorbing or forcing the alliance of smaller guilds
To those that beleive that one side should prevail in the Kami/Karavan war, we're an abomination. Our existance prolongs the war and allows independents to function without the direct influence of larger guilds. Many would prefer that we didn't exist so that Darwin could eliminate the independent guilds and force the players into their ranks.
On the plus side, we reduce the incidence of begging, raise the quality of life for underpriveleged Atysians and help Homins to raise themselves up to the levels of thier peers. We beleive that all Homins have the right to the bounty of Atys regardless of their allegiance or beliefs. This also leads to more quality crafters, diggers, fighters and mages coming out of these independent guilds. This ultimately benefits us all. (or at least, I think it does)
So I, personally, salute DT (and all other guilds on both sides) for allowing us to continue to provide this service unmolested (when I'm sure they're itching to add another OP to their ranks). I would further like to thank those that beleive that our Homanitarian efforts are worth supporting and have helped us to help others. May Jena and Ma-Duk smile on you.

(Oh...and sorry for adding to the thread, but I figure that people will just read the top post for the roster anyways)
