I was wondering who controls the global faction pot of points used to buy spires?

On Aris, its more than likely going to be TapTap, but who for the Kami?

I thought they had said a while ago that neutral TPs wouldn't be affected by Spires, it would just affect faction players?

Its entirely possible Im wrong, I havent been following the dev notes too closely.

However, I still think Redslayers suggestion is the best compromise Ive heard yet (even if it doesnt fix PR / purple zone access for neutrals yet )
:)

Weve been thru a loss of TPs before, and we saw what happened... I just don't want to lose more friends to a change they hate... I know plenty of factioned players who do not PvP and this would be a game killer...

We should find some way to "fix" it for neutrals, Not just ruin it for more people... Or do some neutrals just feel everyones game shoud be jacked just because theres is?

I am not just saying this for myself, I really just don't want to lose anymore friends to bad changes, And we already know that the original TP change didn't go over to well... I mean we still have people complaining about it(that didn't leave game) and its been months =p

P.S. Goodmorning :p

I think there is a misunderstanding between factionned (untagged) and neutrals: on original news and GM comments following it said that Neutrals would NOT be affected...

Now if Factionned players (untaged) are assimilated as neutrals, then yes there is a problem but if all factionned player is affected (taged or not) for me is just fair deal :)

and this as far as I know is valid for all TP's in one region: anyway I do not think there are any TP which are available to Kara, Kami and neutral at same time.

Lets take example:
TP 1: Kara only
TP 2: Kami only
TP 3: Kami + Neutral
TP 4: kara + Neutral

afaik, if the region is taken by Kami, kamis still have TP 2 and 3, neutrals still have TP 3 and 4, karavan have shoes and mounts :)
So it s not the TP itself who is disable (TP is still enable but for neutral only) but the ability to teleport for Kara factionned players.

Now after all the crap (sry) most PvP orientated players have been giving neutrals about PR tp's, if any start to whine, I will surely have a big laugh :)

Found the post at last:
-First off from spire development notes:
b) Teleportation tickets
It is impossible to use TP tickets when their destination is an area owned by an opposing faction. It is possible to use TP tickets in neutral areas, areas controlled by one’s faction, or in capitals.
- From the discussion thread following: Clarification from Community liaison (p15)
Marjo wrote:Neutrals won't be affected at all by the Spires: whatever the Spire built in the region, a neutral could still teleport and respawn there.

The Spires document is becoming quite outdated now with all these little changes added; I have to think of updating it.
So Neutral (unfactionned) = no change
Factionned (PvP orientated or just for PR TP) = Shoes :)
For me it does make sense: if tagged player only can TP, some might find a way around it..(Like TP for Example to Dyron, run to US PR to tag and then come back to Dyron area...)

I have a real good shoemaker since PR TP change, I do not mind to share :)

I only say a few words.

How ever the TP situation is done, I like to reminder all people that TP's are necessary travel means in this game. This means that ability have fun in this game is many times depending players ability TP near enough they friends. It would be too much for ask teams to pick up they friend every day by walking, if he/she is too far from them, like other side of zone. Atys is very hard word, many times traveling around alone by walking, is too hard for many players. This can cause separations from friends and un ability enjoy the game.

So where the TP's are located and who can use them, is very important for all players.

hehehe... Anyone that knows me must be laughing... I want to be sure to give allies my characters viewpoint, but allow the majority to make the decision. I am too heavy handed to micro manage :P

I SO agree with you since the first time they changed the way TP worked.
I wish Nevrax will call on Kami and Karavan to reopen the TP to all as they use to be...

Nevertheless some asked for it to remain in the current state: how many times did I read: "You choose your side, now is to time assume"..

I would prefer them back tho if we cant, then I think this new way of doing will just make it worst yes but may also make some understand why neutrals have been unhappy since the change..

and how is this worse from TPing to US and entering dyron that way ?
the effect is still the same, the only people who couldnt do that are the neutrals, who arent in this anyway. if you want to fight you need to be outside the area before you tag. If a series of zones are owned by a side, then the interior ones are still protected by the surrounding ones.

I am actually more in favour of the No Tagging inside enemy territory part of the idea, than the teleport availability itself, to be honest.
