Cho is not the only server you can play on, there are 2 english servers and the other one (arispotle) just works fine

Latest update:

Cho will not be coming back up tonight, the issue is clearly more complicated than was first thought. The devs are working on it still and it is planned to have Cho back up tomorrow morning. Apologies for the inconvenience feel free to make characters on our other English speaking international shard, Arispotle.

Awesome, finally some news!

Ok, I guess we have to be content about this update and hope all goes well for tomorrow!

At least there is another English speaking server. I just didn't want to spend time leveling up a character there.

To the person who asked, of course I don't think they anticipated this. Intentional or not, the server is down and that is frustrating. I wanted to be on a server with a lower level average so I could sorta have a hope of meeting folks and forming some connections.

I agree that it's frustrating, espcially if your new to the game and looking forward to getting on. Its no good really that Arispotle is there, my character is on Cho.......

Such things sometimes can't be avoided though. lets just hope its all up and running for tomorrow

For those unable to get onto Cho at the moment, I'd like to point out that you can still access the Ring editor with your Cho avatars (choose editor rather than play from the character selection screen). Gives you something to do to get your Ryzom fix at least. You can even host Rings for non-Cho players if you wish!
