you seem a bit confused noin, specially in your views on veteran players. First you go on about people wanting a higher level cap (Don't know a single person whos asked for a higher cap btw..), then on about people who are burned out... if you're burned out, the last thing you'd want is a higher level cap... just a small point there...

Neun pretty much said it all... its a much better server IMO that the state Aris is in. Its Ryzom as it should have been at launch and we get to experience it from 0 to 250. I could go on for pages, but the thread isn't really worth it..

No. Its just the one without the disappointments and it hasn't had anything wonderful destroyed on it. It's a clean slate. It isn't how it should have been at launch.

Cho also doesn't have Judy on it...

The incredibly complex Atys you imagine is never going to become a reality. I once looked forward to it as well, but time has proven that Nevrax will never get around to making everything the game was once supposed to be. This is much closer to what was envisioned for Ryzom (what was in the manual that came in the box) than what was in game at release. I'd take what we have today over what was IG back then.

Also the destroying something "wonderful" is matter of opinion, not fact. Remember, Judy, other people exist than yourself. Not all of us bought into the carebear stare of pre-Ep2.

And not all of us bought into the wholesale attempt to wreck the atmosphere and community that we once had in an orgy of selfish one-upmanship. Part Nevrax's fault, mostly the fault of the ones that went overboard.

There was room for both, Ep2 showed that one type, even here, didn't have the maturity to permit others to have their fun too. Damn shame.

It is a fact, not an opinion, that the community isn't as good as it was. It's still better than any other MMO but it did suffer.

i am guessing Noin must be having a go @ me about the lvl 250 Cap as i am one of the very few asking for it, the reason i am asking for it is because i never planned on being part of a Guild i am mostly a Solo player, and i power levelled cause i simply wanted to be self sufficient, but in power levelling things the way i done and i CAN make everything i need @ the highest Quality all my crafts are pretty much useless to me now as my melee and magics are @ lvl 250's aswell, so i dont use those skillz now.

Sooooo the reason i ALWAYS ask for a lvl cap to be raised is purely selfish, its so I have something to do, like make all my redundant skillz worth something again.


oh and i too have More than 7 Alts, but there is no way i am starting over and doing it all again, it took me long enough to get what i have now.
To me Alts are nothing but more storage for me.


ps... over a year ago there was rumours about another planet, where once ppl had reached lvl 250, they had the option of going there, yeah you would still be lvl 250, but on the new planet, lvl 250 would be like lvl1, i guess this is what i was hoping for, but since it was only a rumour i didnt grind just to get a pile of 250 skillz, i grinded cause i never want to rely on anyone ingame for anything, as i found out, its easier to make enemies ingame than it is to make friends. Mayb the rumour was true, but got knocked on the head cause the population wouldnt support it and with the financial state Nevrax was in, a major addition like that would have been too risky.

Sorry... But lol @ people on Cho that say its Ryzom with more content... It has the same things as Ari is with a new alt...Not having high level people around doesn't mean that it has new/more content.... Maybe I misunderstood that... I sure hope so... But I can understand the whole "new frontier" I guess...

Its the whole freshness of it, there are no weapons or equipment to buy, its like the wild west frontier spirit, currently Im sporting Q70 armour, I can wear 110, but cannot afford it if it was on sale, or craft it.
