Question did you have access for Ryzom with windows XP firewall if its on? Also you it looks like you might have a program running in the background thats trying to use same resources as ryzom so try closeing everthing but whats needed. Make sure no Anti-Virus is running in background.

Hi all, I had the same error, and i think it was due to my ram. I got 1Go of DDR400. I was in openGL, with the sound activated. I changed to DirectX (9.0c) and i disabled the sound (i think it's no use). The most important thing i did was to disable windows' swap space (right-click on "my computer", "advanced" -not sure about the translation, i got XP in french). Try it, it worked for me, i hope it will for you gys.

EDIT :: Je me suis rendu compte que le post était francais à la base, alors voici la traduction de la manip' qui a marché chez moi :

Passer le jeu en DirectX 9.0c (je ne sais pas si c'est vraiment important)
Désactiver le "fichier d'échange windows" -> click droit sur "poste de travail", onglet "avancé", "paramètres" des performances, onglet "avancé", "modifier" la mémoire virtuelle, "aucun fichier d'échange".

J'éspère que ca marchera pour vous.

Right... I disabled swap size, and went to the buggy place in Fairhaven where i always crash... This time it said that windows ran out of vitural memory because i disabled the page file... I guess if it had enough memory to handle the problem it would be 'access violation' again. I have 1Gb Ram as well.. Ty for an advice though Psore, it might help someone else, prolly people who have 2Gb Ram

Lol . Anyway it worked for me, but in the afternoon, i still had a few crapy bugs. I have a GeForce FX 5200 with 128Mb DDR-II and i noticed that in my BIOS, the "AGP aperture size" was at 256Mb, you should check it to, maybe the games tries to write on a "inexitant" sector of your videocard's ram (ok, the chance is a bit poor, but it worth a try, don't you think ?)

I've also experienced that Ryzom freezes.
The cursor changes to an hourglass and when I press Ctrl-Alt-Del, it says that Ryzom/program doesn't answer.
And I have to quit the client and relog.
