If they do then they should be doing it slowly. Atm they are very expensive and I don't think I want to pay for another set.

Why would you reroll? Just stop making weapons and start making something else. If worst came to worst you would need to gain a few more levels in weapon crafting in order to get the points to obtain your new specialty. No big deal. At some point in the future you may want to resume crafting weapons so it seems better not to reroll, unless you want to try a new race.
Jewelery crafting is needed but quite frankly I would still start out as a weapon and/or armor crafter in order to gain skill rapidly on newbie island and make money doing missions prior to picking up jewelry crafting, which is very expensive and more difficult to progress.

Jewelry crafting ... each plan is 100 points. Bonuses start at 50 each.
If this is the path you decide to follow. Make diadems. They garner the most xp as they use the most mats. There is a Fyros who also makes full sets. Cant recall the name atm.
