I am truely happy to be back though. Like finding and old worn thread bear pair of slippers. The new fluffy ones you get for christmas just never feel as good.

Group hug?
Hey, I'm serious and not being insulting, despite the provocation that's there.
If you're worried about having a holdover bad reputation then, you know, it's sort of in your court to do something about it! You can't really blame people for being wary especially when you seem so proud of it otherwise, eh?

And yes, group hug, its good to have people back/around regardless.

Well to bring the thread back on track, why not discuss the initial idea:

- A land where everyone can start anew.
- A land where guilds only use faction points for the sake of tps and noone even mentions political or religios propaganda.
- A land where Higher powers are only that - higher powers - staying somwhere up high and never reaching down to twist homins minds.
- A land where outposts are held by guilds not factions and are declared upon by guilds and fought over in a GvG manner.
- A land where spires will never be built because noone will be interested in building them.
- A land where alliances are made for trade and sharing crystals but wars are also done in a GvG manner.
- A land where words "karavan/kami scum" are never spoken
- A land where any homin can ask any crafter for help if he has earned that crafters respect
- A land where everyone is happy and free...

I have spoke to some alts of influentional Ari players on Cho (those who are going to or already have organized guilds there) about this...

Most of them have agreed that this is indeed a great idea but that it should be implemented step by step... Possibly starting with a op war honor code...

What do the Honourable DCP think about this?

i think its good that we get to start fresh chars, so in some ways its all on fair grounds (even tho some have more time to play than others :P )

its also good how theres no economy as such, so you actually have to work to get anywhere, and there are no dominant guilds that control pretty much everythin

its a bit of a gold rush at the moment to be honest, all racing to get first outpost when it will really all kick off :)

But what do you think about volountary 'honour codes' to prevent some of the nastiness that's risen up on Arispotle?

There was always going to be nastiness on Aris, as for a year and a half, faction was not important, and people were friends one day, then at war the next. My vision of cho is a fresh start where everyone knows the rules of the game from the start and can pick guild/faction/friends knowing the effect that will have. I am looking forward to PvP on this server and hoping for less nastiness as everyone knows where they stand right from the beginning.

It is truly amazing how most posts in this thread say absolutely nothing about the initial idea...

the idea is not starting anew (which is absolutely evident and there is no need to write about it all over again) The idea is a honor code, an initial agreement of sorts and a possibility of it coming true...

Well I sinсerely hope you know what the word "honor" means....

Quote from Wikipedia:

An HONOR CODE or honor system is a set of rules or principles governing a community based on a set of rules or ideals that define what constitutes honorable behavior within that community. The use of an honor code depends on the idea that people (at least within the community) can be trusted to act honorably. Those who are in violation of the honor code can be subject to various sanctions, including expulsion from the institution.

and please be so kind to at least read the initial post...

Respectfully your,

I was referring to Spoloh's question to you.
I think you already have a conflict between people who want to restore Ryzom's original goals, lore, setup and community and those who want a world where that different 'world' never existed.
