Oh absolutely... If I were to launch something like RyzomRadio.com (not a bad name, actually)... I would much rather offer the broadcast with podcasts of the programs available. ;)

Of course... the live365 thing is a bit much for me right now. I've done it before, but money has been tight lately. Time even tighter. That might resolve itself in the relatively near future however. /ponder

Oh... and in case you haven't noticed... I like to keep busy. lol

I guess we need an editor who knows what they are doing and who is generally acceptable to everyone?

Any volentiers?

Additionally, is there enough interest from various folks to create small audio segments for a show like this? I'm looking at how much work it would be assemble and publish the show, but if we don't get enough content from a wide selection of voices, then it wouldn't be worth it.

I guess what I'm saying is: Could I get a show of hands of who might be interested in creating content for this potential podcast?

At the moment sadly down to technical issues: Radio-SoR

http://www.gsm-community.de/wiki/doku.php?id=home
We hope it´ll get fixed soon (tm) :D ;)

Maybe we could share this resource? :)
I always wanted to appeal to the international community too.

Mostly we just sent music over it, but I was planning on a podcast too. Didn´t happen due to Hardware failure though.
I´ll try and convince our Admin to fix it ASAP.

This sounds like a very nice idea and I think I might be able to come up with a 5 minute piece say, once a month, which would be interesting to me at least :) Something I think would make a very nice regular feature in a podcast would be people reading out the articles from the Atys Chronicles archives, in character. I remember Zespiole, Rashan and Sxarlet doing the Atys Newscasts last year; gudule's voice and accent was fantastic! ;)

Then there are Drakfot's Tales, too, .... in fact there is a wealth of textual content already available that could gradually be serialized, if the originator's wish to do so.

I don't know much about this resource. I was thinking about Libsyn; their tools for hosting podcasts seem really easy to use and quite affordable.

If not, would the originator of that material (Drakfot for example) be ok with someone else using it to create an audio version of it?

We could also just publish segments as individual episodes as they become available. Nothing says the podcast has to be consistent 30 minute weekly shows or even have a consistent format.

Another thought would be some of the in-character postings we get announcing events and story related items. Those could be generated into short mp3 files read by either the original poster or a community volunteer and then posted as-is.
