Ooh, a new server? With no Masters, no guilds, no event shields, no temples, no crystal drills, outposts all held by Marauders? Could be very damaging to Arispotle but very exciting to play on. I'll bet that Aen, Lixie and gang will be first there!

There is the problem that uber gear can (and will) be transferred over via Ring exchanges. It won't be as virgin as it should be.

I think it would be a good thing to characterise this as a new American server, even if it isn't physically in the US. It would be good to start at least a slow redivision for the reasons mentioned and others.

And it couldn't hurt to allow transfers either :/

New server will be a virgin as a new land invaded by colonists with major backing. If via ring trading remains. Guilds will create alt port to mainland, recieve cats + gear from main server, powerlvl to take the OP(s), and import the OP goodies to their main server, similar in time with PR sups. the new server will become a Farm for the main servers.

Quite agree, why I don't like the sound of it so far...

The Ring needs to be patched and transfers shutdown BEFORE the new shard opens... can move alot of cats in a couple days...

Actually I was agreeing with what Anissa already said. So I guess that makes anyone who thinks this would be a good idea xenophobic.

It would make it easier for the Guides etc to run events.
It would help fix the problems with time differences in outpost attacks.
It would help the (admitted from both 'communities') different bias in gameplay style that doesn't do either any favours.

Everyone would be a winner.
