tactics would be limited tho (ie hitting invuln for a short rest from getting hit), a last man standing rumble in somewhere like GoO may work better (and last longer) then hiding, hunting, speed up`s, aggro dragging could all be used more usefully as tactics. You`d still have to overcome the problem of mates and guildmates doing "nudge nudge, wink wink, i didnt see you, you didnt see me " and "lets get this guy together "

I think tag team rumble would work much better..
It would make it last longer and there could be some real tactics and cliffhangers as a teammate rezzez you just in time.. or real teamwork to put both members of a team down at once to eliminate them.
That could be a reall doozy.. Id love to see it!

fights without healing last very short in ryzom
this would had work great in the pre-cu swg with the god-like buffs where a duel could easy go over 15min.
but here in ryzom if you're using ele the fight will be over before the next one enters the arena. the new one would be full health and kill the previous one fast but getting low on hp/sap/stam, another new one enters and kills the 2th one and so on...

maybe you could extend the duel time artificial with allowing only lvl 20 weapons/spells. would have to be tested which level is high enough to do more damage than the regeneration but low enough to not make the fight over in seconds. armor, shields and jewels i wouldn't limit, you cannot check it but weapon dmg is easy to check if you get hit for 1k suddenly

why not do a battle royal? they much more fun , split everyone up in one of the open PvP Pr regions some to each portal or tp and send them off with say 1 min intervals, when they die they would get taken to a portal and they could be seen by a marshal to avoid any1 sneaking back in

I'm avoiding using PR mainly cos of mobs (then DP)

Once i can have PvP in the ring, then its a whole different ball game *evil grin*
