Thanks a whole lot, for translation my latin skills and a dose of babelfish will have to do. I recall to have seen the thread, yet did not even look at it

maybe it really do misses a cycle or even a JY ;-) , only thing i know that server tick gives that date if you remove first 61 days from it. 61th day is exactly 2525 JY cycle 1, day 1 in spring 00:00. all season changes happen at the right time too.

edit: following seems to be oops according to this post
on Aniro/Leanon, they already reseted the server tick (it's around 2.7mil vs arispotles 630mil). i'm sure they had good reasons to do it and i hope it does not happen in arispotle ;-)

sidusar wrote:... and that the devs might have other ideas of what date it is on Atys.
i'm sure of it :-) . infact, they have 3 current atys dates and they cant figure out which one is real :-) , so thats the real reason why date is not ingame ;-)

Once in a time all players could use the ingame debuggertool, that told you the exact time and cycle, and i know the clock wasnt running at downtimes.

Oh thanks, that clarifies things. It looks correct to me, can't be off by more than a day.

So, in 2 years time, the server has only been down for a total of 13 days? That's pretty good :)

Haha, could very well be :D

Well, if you knew what date it was on Atys when they resetted the server tick, you could enter that as the starting date and still keep the calendar synched, right?

Hi there :p

As Marjo mentionned on this page http://www.ryzom.fr/news/archive/2006/0 ... i#comments, Aniro time restarted since tick 0 :p

But oddly, current season was not spring but winter, so some guys deduced that tick 0 doesn't correspond to first day of 2525 but winter of last cycle from 2524 :p (a cycle starts with spring :) )

I didn't count the time between restart of the server and the last season change, but I will try to find the correct offset so we'll be able to compute time with a better accuracy :)

Btw that's not the first time ticks of Aniro were resetted :( It already happened in october 2004...

I don't know if Nevrax will fix the real value or use this before the new reset.

blaah> great work for your script :) So you are using ticks from logs ? My actual version ( http://ryzom.kervala.net/time.php ) is based on correspondance between IRL and IG dates but I plan to use ServerTicks variable ^^

yes, tick starts 61 ingame days earlier than 2525. probably shards opened 3 rl days earlyer for some (wasnt there, so dont know ;-)

to travel back (forth) in time with my site:
http://atys.pri.ee/?page=realtime&days=0
to remove/change 61 days in my calculation:
http://atys.pri.ee/?page=realtime&days=0&advance=-61
for aniro/leanon, advance should be 14339
http://atys.pri.ee/?page=realtime&shard=aniro&advance=14339
(dont think i can keep aniro/leanon in sync on my page... damn loading times ;-()

yes, but they better reset it in winter, first month, last day ;-) , then it's just matter of adding years.
