How scary to agree with DT once more. But he is totally right. A guild should take care of its members, although small numbers, different time zones, etc might make it a bit harder for a guild.

Still, you can always ask on their forums about it (if they have any). Or ask when more members are online...

Hey, I feel your pain, I found mainland to be a daunting place when first starting out too. I'm with a guild but I operate a lot on my own as most of my guildies who are on at the same time are at least 50 levels above me. But one thing I'm doing right now which is fun, frustrating, scary (and unbelievably heart-pounding) is to try and trek from Yrkanis all the way to Dyron on my own. My guild's OP is close to Dyron.

A useful website I consult is ryzom.raum.com. It has useful maps which tell and show you what resources are available in an area.

Couldn't agree more. I'd be very surprised to hear that they weren'r prepared to help you, that's part of the point of a guild.

If you need people to team with, you could try asking in region chat. Just state what skill/level you want to use and say you're looking to hunt.

Yup the key is here to ask in guild chat.
A good guild will want to help you.. I know ours does.
It can be difficult for leaders and high oficers sometimes when they allready have 8 tell boxes open and are running around tradeing / crafting / rezzing...
Thankfully we have several great officers who are allways ready to field questions from newer players :D

*hides*

at risk of labouring the point ... yes, ask your guild, or stand on a street corner in Pyr and shout "SOMEBODY TREK ME!!! "

As for foraging, get yourself out west to Dyron, the town on the NW corner of the desert - thats where all the diggers hang out - LOTS of them. Its a not-too-difficult journey to make on your own, but I would advise again that u ask in guild/region for assistance.

A lot of new players seem to be reticent to ask for assistance from their guild, but please get over that - I was the same at first - the guild is there for you and happy to help you, and would as likely as not make an "event" of it and be grateful for the break in the grind :P

3:1, 2:1, 1:1 ... probability factor of one to one; we have normality. I repeat: we have normality. Anything you still can't handle is therefore your own problem.

Try hitting Shift g and reading the guild forums and see if they have scheduled trek times or people delegted to treking people around.

If you are still reading this treahd Prepin,

Next time you are on, send Thom a /tell.

I will show you where to harvest materials near Pyr that are what you need, I will trek you to wherever you need to go.

I can provide equipment for any of your needs.

If I am not online, send me an in-game mail and tell me when you will be on.

Welcome to Atys. No homin should feel like this imo.

Be well.

As the others have stated already... Your guild should be taking care of you... If you ever need any help with A trek or Supplies, Feel free to Contact me, Daemion, or any one in my Guild, we would be honored to help.
