Wearing your light armor day in day out does tend to make it a bit smelly.
It also would be good to see more variety of clothes, designs (inc. hats, capes as someone else mentioned) not just different colors.

In my opinion Light Armor is clothes; the most comfy thing you can wear. But how hard would it be to make all armor unisex? I was dissapointed when I made a male Zorai toon and the LA he could wear wasn't fluffy like the female Zorai LA. More cross-dressing!

Then wear different light armor.
Four races, three qualities, five pieces...math.

I don't think math ever figured in what I choose to wear
Now colour, however .... so many to choose between, hmmmm, still not enough!
I second Ulani, light armour IS clothing, but more variety in every shape and form would be nice. Maybe seasonal fashions?

Hats for sure, capes as well (but need new spot in equipment window...)
I think it is all down to increase diversity, even tho we have good choice of LA atm, its still always the same pattern and colors...
Why not increase the diversity of LA then..
As said in another thread, maybe have more plans or possibility to craft with same plan different LA which would look completely different:
LA for each kind of magic (4 new sets x 4 races) as well as Special Harvest plan for LA (4 races) in addition to the current LA which should stay as multipurpose LA.
Each new plan could have little extra boost (decrease of failure in cast or something, maybe for foragers the same as greslin pick) if the right type of magic is used when wearing them...
Most players asking for clothes probabaly do so because they want more diversity in the looks: after 2 years wearing the same plans, you feel a bit out of fashion
So new LA set could in fact keep the coherence of the gamplay and allow many more combinaison in looks
And those would be useful

I'm not saying we don't have a lot now, but more options would be welcomed by all(as long as it stays true to Ryzom style, of course)
That sums it up for me. I know we have an ok selection already but more would be nice.

Well, I admit this is the first thought that came to mind when I read the suggestion. If clothes are mainly an RP prop, and assuming RPers want them, and assuming (I know, lots of assuming) that the most work comes from the animation and 3D modelling, then why not extend light / medium armors ? by doing this, would it not be ok for RPers but also for other play styles?
myself, and also previous posters, would welcome more "looks" and customization diversity. My point is that by simply adding new craft plans, one can please most players. If you insist in them having no useful purpose, well craft them with no bonus, at q10 and with a bad selection of mats. What am I missing?
true, you would still need a crafter to craft them, and some options (hats, cloaks,...) should be done with care not too imbalance things too much.

Im by no means a RP'r, but im quite particular about my appearance.
At the end of the day I play a game where I have to look at the rear end of my toon for hours on end. I also don't really like the look of HA, so I always change into My LA outfit when walking into a town.
If im stuck in the same armour day in day out becomes rather tedious and bland. Don't get me wrong I'd like to see additional clothes to wear, however im not really bothered, id rather like to see a full range of 256 colours (unless there already is, but i see way to many toons walking around with the same stuff on), and let the devs focus on other parts of the game.
