hehe, the server wide warning was the 'server status: stalled', that I got in the connections window (N or Shift+N).

Planned down time, (or unplanned but they know that it is about to happen) always has a message in game, with the time remaining before the servers goes down.

This sucks, I'm at school-no way for me to be around when server is back up-unless it already it up...which sucks still.

2 of us created newbeh toons on German server, got to lvl 10 and the server was up, ready for us to venture down the ramp =D

It was scheduled downtime, it came offline at exactly 11am Paris time, and came up an hour later as planned.

You should all subscribe the the Ryzom newslettery thing.

Yes, they sent me a mail informing me of the downtime

The one thing I have learned about MMO's, it doesn't matter when the downtime is, I always have something I am supposed to be doing when it actually comes offline.

I didn't mean to direct my post at you specifically, it was more of a general statement... I am at work and a little distracted by this silly thing I sometimes call "my job". Didn't realize I hit the "quote" button til you replied

Look at the time that the thread started; the server stalled last night sometime after 11pm BST.

It wasn't planned, but apparently Soulsnatcher needed a coffee and pulled the wrong plug Of course, this might just be hiding the real reason which is someone forgot to feed the Yubos that power the server.

I fully expect to log back in today to find a kincher nibbling on my head.
