How do you start a guild?
Re: How do you start a guild?
A guildhall is like a very large apartment, but with 1000 inventory slots and 10,000 bulk capacity. Any guildmember can enter the guildhall and deposit items or dappers, only the guildleader and high officers can take anything out (a guild is allowed 1 high officer automatically and an additional one for each 20 names on the roster). It's this storage capacity which is the driving force behind the property boom, luckily there still seems to be plenty of space in all of the capital cities and prices remain static.
I've only ever seen the Matis style myself - the decor is entirely determined by the capital city that you buy one in, just like apartments - but they are pretty spectacular even if their only practical function is storage. They have a large entrance hall with a slightly raised stage area for addressing the members from, a modestly appointed office for the leader, a lounge with plants and a table and chairs that look nice but which we still have not worked out how to use, and three small siderooms one of which hides the so-called guild trainers (I think they're really members of Yrkanis Secret Police - they sure know how to keep a secret).
When you get to Yrkanis you'd be welcome to take a look around ours (so long as you take your boots off
)
Edit: capacity, thanks Jel.

I really need to check these outjamela wrote:and three small siderooms one of which hides the so-called guild trainers (I think they're really members of Yrkanis Secret Police - they sure know how to keep a secret).

I've only seen inside the Pyr and Fairhaven guildhalls, they have some non-functioning portals, but no trainers.

Its an old bug - there was a period a while back where you could "buy" them for free and then the portals started working. They just go to rooms with a trainer/mission giver in who doesn't offer anything.aardnebb wrote:I really need to check these outjamela wrote:and three small siderooms one of which hides the so-called guild trainers (I think they're really members of Yrkanis Secret Police - they sure know how to keep a secret).

Re: How do you start a guild?
I wonder when and if the Guild halls will become fully functional.
The manual indicates the features that seem to be nonfunctional (or at least one of the Ryzom documents I read did), and I would love to see the Guild system polished up a bit.
