Hehe, yeah. Made that screenshot a keeper. :D

Macroes have a lot of good uses, would be really nice if Nevrax added regex ability to it. Then you only needed one macro for sources. :)

P.S. Ulani add a quick howto and you have a sticky topic. :p

target entity. (insert name here)
chat in around '/follow'
target targets current target
run shortcut X

this is such a lazy macro cos if they don't have anything selected you will go on follow if they decide to move.
the only thing i do differently here, is instead of target entity... i use target teammate #1, means it requires less frequent editting

( i do have another that targets by name, but use it for out of team stuff instead :) )

i've never used macro's for foraging, mostly becuase:

1) it doesnt seem any quicker than clicking a source and then a shoutcut key
2) you cant check the # of mats in the source

what am i missing?

The aforementioned big-butted bodocs and armas squatting on the source you want. Tried for hours to select sources that way with the mouse, all I ever got were bodocs and armas. Resources disappeared before I could find a way to select one of them.

single keyclick (I bound my macro to 'Q') is definitely faster than mouse-click and key-click

two or more sources literally on top of each other. Trying to select the one I want with the mouse is frustrating. The macro gives you a "priority" order, so the more important (to you) resource gets selected for harvesting.

Great guide and screenie, Ulani.

I've pasted a link on our website to this. Would you mind if I copied and pasted it all in? (Giving you credit, OF Course.)

kayak wrote:yeah i'm going to have to agree with rushin.. the need of knowing what is in the source first is pretty important. nothing worse than digging a node with 9 mats in it when you normally dig twice that.
Piece of cake.

I have JUST the targetting commands in a macro. Hit that, you have the resource targetted. Then amble over to it, and scope the mat count. If you like it, THEN you hit your dig action.
