For those asking "How often does this happen?"
I have been playing SoR (trial and then sub) for roughly 1 month. This is only the 2nd time in that month it has gone down. This counts the fact that there was a major publish right as I joined (Silan), and one of the down time glitches was due to something having to do with that publish, which is not unheard of in online gaming (add a bunch of new content, something breaks the server shortly thereafter).
I do not consider that to be "too often" in a 24/7 game. You just can't expect a server to operate without EVER going down. That's silly. To me, a couple of unpredicted crashes a month is not a major problem. You simply cannot expect 100% uptime of ANYTHING. SoR gets as close as you could expect.
