Well I'm pretty sure that's up to you guys, not the devs. They can't "force" people to join the kami so its kinda beyond the range of the question "Are there "balancing mechanisms" in development?"

Nah the best balancing feature would be having a separate shard for the Arispottle kami :) Then you don't have to delete paying customers and laso the kami will have tons of ops all to themselves :)

This might be in development too ;)

---j/k here guys no offense intended---

Hey Guys, although I agree that the Devs "balancing" a Player created problem ist the wrong way to go, I´d very much like you not to make fun of your fellow players. Thats simply not very fair.

And to this "balancing", the Thread opener forgets that there are two other shards where there seem to be none such "extreme" problems.
So what would the us of this "balancing mechanisms" be for them?

If it empowered the Kami somehow, then our Karavan would be in a very strange position, don´t you think?
With equal Forces before and then suddenly the Kami being "helped by their God and Jena looking the other way."

No, sorry but a "balancing mechanism" is extremely shortsighted.

I thought of a possible way to balance the Op situation, albeit it might be a bit late to implement such a mechanism.

Outposts should have Npc's constantly working around them, its unrealistic that these Empty looking structures can be so productive.

For example Lets say a Fyros Op is held by a Matisian karavan guild. These kami or neutral fyros people would obviously have resentments to these old enemies and people of a heathen religion. Therefore production would decrease.

Perhaps even they would sabotage the Outpost so the threshold would come down quicker. Would allow easier exchange of disputed outposts which might help balance the 'numbers game'

In more detail we could say that for a civilisation difference(perhaps using the starting fame of a new homin to get the outlook of each race) you could have a 25% reduction and another 25% if a 'Kami Guild' owns an OP in a 'Karavan land'.

Neutral guilds could simply receive 10% reduction for each.( perhaps have some lore here, where fyros OPs would be more accpeting towards neutrals giving Emperor Tryton's views??)

You could implement a needed dapper sink here, where Guilds could bring Npcs from their own lands and religion but at a great cost.(not 100k a day something more substantial like a million or two. )

I believe this could be implemented, as realistically it takes a long long time for any conquering force to enforce stability and for production to reach a satisfactory level. It would make the conquering forces less willing to take the OP's in other lands, they still can but the rewards are not as great.

just an idea, Bolster it or destroy it , dont ignore it :)

We have an Emperor Tryton now? I think Dexton would be quite displeased if he found out :o

Anyways, leaving aside the fact that I don't agree with the idea at all, why should neutrals get a better deal? If anything they should get the same problems everywhere since they are willing to trade with anyone (including the "enemy") and are more likely to have homins from the "wrong" race in them. ( I may have misread things here, so feel free to correct me if I missed your point )

Of course the whole thing is shockingly racist from the government's PoV, not to mention that the treaty would forbid them from interfering with OPs to begin with.

Yeah I like that Idea :) It would make more sence then it does now really :p

{edit} then make it just Kami/Kara... say the penalty is less in Fyros then in Zoraï For Karavan and less in Tryker then in Matis for Kami ... Along those lines... And no penalty in your own factions lands. But no boost because IDK how they could work that... wouldn't be fare for Trykers/Fyros getting less in there own lands :P ... So we go with only Penalties for other lands...
