That was certainly not my intent. The point I was trying to make is that because Arispotle's GM's are a little more forgiving than Leanon's, we get a ton of OT chatter beaking out. Our GM's generally do step in if it goes on too long.

That said, the rest of my post should stand on it's own merits. At least on Arispotle.

I agree with this. I can only make educated guesses as to why, but the reason that seems most obvious to me is that they have recently put in a lot of effort to improve the new player experience. Look at the new island. Adding a new player help channel would be a logical thing to do in this case.

In a roundabout way, adding a Universe general chat would also help the NPE, if for no other reason than it would provide a place for the OT conversations currently in Universe, thereby making Universe better able to do it's intended job.

what is this RL you speak of? bah... if it wont improve my foraging or crafting then i don't want to hear it!

but seriously, games are supposed to be an escape. if you want to have a heated argument that leads to nothing go sign onto the WOW forums. if you want to flame please feel free to sign onto the WOW forums.

ryzom has been really great about this kind of thing and alot of it is a amazing community full of adults (or at least they act like adults) that deal with polotics and people looking to make you angry all day. we don't need it again at home. i am only 23 and i feel this way, btw. i also don't know why i felt i needed to tell you that...

i am sure there will always be a few rogues and like it was said earlier "thats what the ignore list is for". if you could figure out a way to effectivly use an ignore list in real life you would make millions.

i'll just be glad to never hear an entire zone chatting about chuck norris ever again.
