hehe i play at a lot - and from Sept'04, and spend most of my time crafting.. my light armor is at 210/210/210/220/241, would take another 6 months to get all to a point where i can make q250 supreme sets without worrying about degrades.. you would have to be insane to be a high level crafter in everything, years and years of effort - there is no way even 1% of the population will try i think :)

Yes, but I never finished it, and it doesn't really work ;)

And when you craft jewels... DO NOT FORGET TO PUT MAX BONUS ON THEM. (hp/sap/stam/focus)

You should finish it, that would be eminently helpful to the community.

I see what everyone is saying. What is most top end peoples time played in this game?

I've been thinking in the scope of EQ where people had MONTHS logged online time. I don't know how that compares to this game.

Which is the least used craft?

Nah, we'll only have crafters brute-forcing all their craft plans and giving stuff to people who kill me :(

And another thing, put your jewel prices high enough if you have max bonus. That way you'll earn some extra money to buy more materials and level faster ;)

what do you mean by that? Selling to players? What is an appropriate level to sell it at? I saw the 100% gage in the sell column at the NPC, I assume thats for setting a price to players.

Yes, that's for selling to players. I usually set it somewhere around 500% when crafting jewels, to cover the cost of my materials. :)

wow 500% is way above what I was thinking would be fair :) I assume thats pretty top end tough. I'm still only 17 in craft on the newb isle. Should I even try selling to PCs there or wait till I get to mainland?

Just the maximum HP bonus for the quality crafted ;)
(which does take a lot of SP to get. 25sp for the jewel craft each 10 levels,
40sp for the hp bonus each 10 levels, and then 40sp for each jewel plan.)

Let's for example take a full set of 10 q50 jewels:
5 jewel craft actions = 25*5 = 125sp
5 hp bonus options = 40*5 = 200sp
5 extra jewel plans = 40*5 = 200sp
total = 125+200+200 = 525sp needed (53 levels) to be able to craft a full set of q50 jewel with maxed hp boost.

Then, the cost of the materials:
10 jewels = 6*10 = 60 materials
60 materials = 60*1000 = 60000 dappers
considering there are usually around 3 degrades:
18 materials = 18*1000 = 18000 dappers
total: 78000 dappers, cost of crafting the jewel set

If you sell this set on the merchant at 500%, you would actually even lose money.
I'm selling these sets for somewhere around 100000 dappers at the moment, and that seems to be ok enough to get some profit, to get some extra craft levels, and to be able to put a bigger stock on the merchant.

You can't lose anything by trying ;)
