to get fame from killing tribes, you need to get at least 1 xp. no xp, no fame.
if you have mission to kill tribe, then you dont need to get xp.
as much i dislike the idea, i do think it should be changed... at least give neg fame for killing someone (tribe)

.

Hmm, the 'Kill the bandits and we will be very grateful missions' work very fine for me. To be honest, it was much easier and faster gaining fame with these missions that killing temple guards at the Zora Sanctuary. There is a run in the Lakelands that takes about half an hour once you are karavaneer (30 karavan fame, and rite done) which gives you 2-3 fame points per run until you hit a fame rating of about 60.
I did part of the run with someone who has karavan fame of 10 and we ended him having gained 4 points on the run.
So just choose the right missions.
What I hate is that I'm not allowed to defend myself when I'm attacked.

take a little trip to nexus
grab kill kuild missions from kami welcomer, and kami villages
wander in and nuke the kuild village/kuild harvesters
after missions done continue killing them using lower level skills so u get xp until the missions repop
rinse and repeat
i remember doing a few guild runs and getting ppl 40+ kami fame in a weekend
on a side note i dont understand what all the fuss is about. why should you be able to become a high fame faction supporter in 30 minutes.. surely it should take some time and devotion to get that 60 fame and reap the benefits?

Amen to that.. it took me ages I worked hard and now i benefit from it..
I work hard to get my guild mates the fame, but i think that Rush is quite right.. these are benefits to be worked for.

its not that you need to work for these benefits.
simply that working for them is absolutly no fun at all.
suggestions so I dont seem like I'm being negative -
1. increase the fame gain from doing higher level missions, or at least work it like xp, i.e gain based upon your level compared to the bandits
2. give fame for PvP
3. introduce more missions that are exciting, "mr fyros would like to race you from Pyr to dyron" "matis npc challenges in the arena, can you beat the kings champion" "yubo killing, how many can you kill in 1 min (with a leaderboard that records can be viewed)"
4. sort the rites out and make certain ones give you 5 fame (or something like that)
5. allow people who turn their faction alleigence to neutral to have their fame set back to something where they can work from. instead of now where people end up with -100 in 1 and -40 in the other
6. get rid of mission mats, make it so you have to dig something wothwhile for the tribes, finding missions mats is a pain in the butt without the right resources hence why most newbies avoid this type of mission. A typical alternative would be "the tribe needs wood to make armour for the tribe"
7. Goo mobs? introduce them (seen this before like this week)

Ahh i think doing a world tour of the yellow tribes missions can be quite fun in a team!!

But I LOVE your ideas for Fame missions Jakoo..
It would be ace if they implemented somthing like that..
I dont need any more fame.. but it would certainly make helping newer guys alot of fun to do

Agree, and personally i didnt find it that hard to get the fame to 60. Got my fame (both kami and Fyros) there in 2 weeks just by doing the mission tour around Pyr/OO. Just get the missions there, each time you pass (emptying bag from digging, going to GH...) that tour doenst take very long and it gives you pretty much fame each run (dunno how much really).
And i did them when i pretty much was a newbie in my offensive skills. It is quite challeging to do all the missions with a couple of low lvl friends, so it can really be fun doing them.
For new players it also is a good way to learn your homelands. Looking for the tribes takes you to strange places sometimes

And if you dont find it challeging anymore, move to the higher region, try finding the tribes there...
I raised my civ fame too to get all the rites with the different races, and once you know what the good runs are, it really isnt that hard to get your fame up

The rite missions themself tho are a pain in the *ss, especially the dig missions :s
Srr for bad English, but i'm very bad at it
