Fair enough. We all like the game, that's why we are here and thats why we pay subs every month.

I understand that patches and downtime are needed to fix game problems. It seems the main prob at the mo is the lag. Lets hope they sort that soon.

Its interesting to note though everyone has different ideas of whats reasonable and MMORPG companies could make their lives easier by spelling out what they consider to be reasonable/not reasonable

Personally I expect the servers to be available about 90% of the time, which equates to 3 days downtime a month, but thats just my opinion.

I don't mind downtime... but for once I'd like to see downtime when I am at work or when I sleep. I didnt play at all yesterday because of it. On US games it's done during european hours to avoid peak time population to be frustrated; here it's done during peak time population for?

I have to say I was suprised that a European Company did the patch/server down at a time which effected the Europeans most!

But then, the pre-order was sort for the US first.

We were promised a release around the 16th and the US was promised 20th.

It turned out to be US 20th, rest of the world 25th ish.

Not a US bash, so don't start with the 'I going to kill you, stuff' I seem to attract when I make these sort of observations. I am just suprised that timing of the patches.

Unless it a conspiracy Maybe they have checked the server pops and decided that minimum player disruption is peek time in Europe!

All online games have downtimes and the fact that this is a new game means that it will be down a few times more to fix stuff and patch stuff. If we had to take money from the developers in refunds then less money on the servers and staff meaning less content etc etc.

For all the pence u would get back it aint worth it

Without patches (and thus server downtime) there would be no bug fixes, balancing, content addition etc. The game would remain in its current state forever. Who wants that with an MMORPG? Patching is part of the game and its ludicrous to expect a partial refund because of it.

Server down time due to patching happens in most MMORPG's,
If fact i think SoR are really nice to give you an Esimated down time since other companys dont
