May you go to the next stage in peace, Dardis. Rest assured that your family and friends wil be strengthened by our thoughts and prayers to help them through this difficult time as they reluctantly release you to make that journey.
In the early days of desert digging, I spent some time rescuing Dardis from his sources while digging for mats in Thesos. With a thanks for the rez, he always got back up, brushed himself off and went right back to digging. Now, I know where his determination came from. Thank you for giving me the memory, Dardis. It is one I shall treasure forever.

Rek and all of Dardis' friends and family both on Atys and in RL my most heartfelt condolences.I knew Dardis casually ingame. Saying a passing hi to a fellow homin.I was made aware by fellow guildies of his RL travails. His courage and perseverence against lifes difficulties were an inspiration to many.Having read your eloquent tribute to your friend Rek makes me sorry he chose not to follow you to Ballistic Mystix. He would have been wonderful person to have gotten to know better.-Kilgoretrout

I met Dardis during his short stay in The Bunnies. We used to chat a bit during the slower hours when there werent so many others online. I then had to take a 6 month break from Ryzom and havn't seen Dardis since. I guess this explains why.
Dardis you made a big impression on me during the short time I spent with you so this fills me with greate sadness.
I will allways remember you Dardis.
I wish I was better with words...

I, like some others who've posted here, didn't get to meet Dardis.
But still, this is saddening...my best wishes go to his family.

I met Dardis as a member of the Atys Paladins guild when i was a noob and he recruited me as a careplanner, in FF of course
. We chatted quite a bit in that time, and we also talked about his health problems.
I don't think i will ever enter the Flaming Forest without remembering that dust covered, gray haired, withered Fyros swinging his pick.

it is a sad day indeed.
i knew dardis as anna did when he spent a few weeks in the bunnies. it was a shame that he moved on from us but like with many ppl he met he was missunderstood.
for those that knew dardis the problems he faced it was impressive that he was able to acheive what he did. i used to take him digging in PR and watching him run straight into kincher spawns and nuking them with his pick was a sight to behold.
i will remember dardis well and my thoughts go to his family and freinds.
i am moving house soon so will be unable to attend any sort of ingame meet but i will be there in spirit.

Ah, truely a sad time. I knew Dardis during my adventures with Brandon, Mshadow, and Jessie, when I was part of the Atys Wayfarers guild. A long while ago. He was a good Homin, who knew how to do things, and what he stood for. I added him to my contact during that time. We spoke some, though sadly, we just never became good friends, although, neither were we foes. I had no quarrel with him, nor a problem. I actually looked up to him on occassion and even asked for advice here and there when I seen that he was online.
I did not know of his condition, nor, did it really have any place in Atys. The Saga of Ryzom, like other games, allows for people to dawn a persona, an avatar of someone they wish to be. An escape. If they want to run in the wild though don't have the ability to ever due so, for example, Ryzom allows for them to experiance such a fantasy. Or it allows you to actually see your friend who has moved across the country, or someone special who is just in another city. Ryzom is a dream maker. It, in one form or another, allows for the impossible. And I am glad Dennis found comfort, and I am glad to have met Dardis during his time with us.
I wish your family and close friends the best of wishes in recovering, as it is a hard time for all. And may you rest in peace, dear friend. May you attain enlightenment and stand at Ma-Duk's side.
Thank you for informing us, Brandon. We all appreciate your time and efforts.
Sincerely,
Lokire aka Loki
