I'm having a good time still and I am intrigued by all the stuff I don't understand! I'm so tired of having everything in an MMO handed to me on a platter. It's only Day 2 of the trial but right now I am surprising myself and thinking I may continue and subscribe. Depends on how things look on the mainland though, as the newbie land is pretty barren of people.

It's not that I want things to be complicated and not make sense in a game - but from what I see of Ryzom so far it mostly is very logical, just extremely complex.


Also I found the "Player Guides" section waaaay down at the bottom of the forums. Some very useful stuff there as well (for any other newbies who may be reading this). Just to be sure to set your forum options at the bottom of the page to display all posts since the beginning.

And I´m glad you´re enjoying your trip, not a few people have given up just because everything is NOT handed to them...

Go to the Main lands as soon as you´re comfortabel with the UI and some basic skills There´ll be sores of folks wo´ll gladly answer anys question in Region Chat. But take your time finding a good Guild that suits you, don´t take the first Invite-offer thats maybe thrown your way.

On my site you can find a few good tutorials and some nice downloads as well as a few glimpses of what´s to come on the mainland
