I've only got a few months' play time under my belt, but when I started, I wanted to do it all, pretty much. I'd work one thing, get tired/bored with it, then switch to something else. One thing I did that I kinda regret is spreading myself out so much with regards to crafts; Kityara currently has all Fyros weapons plans, even at medium quality, and at present, she can make Q130 2h weapons as her highest skill. As far as digging, well, having to dig up weapon mats as well as armor mats (medium Q120), raised her desert forage all the way to 175, and that is currently her highest skill. Fighting, she has 2h sword at 156 and 2h axe at 155, with the other 2h skills above 101. Casting, her elemental is 126 and her heal is at 130; both her affliction spell lines are < 100.
As to what my goals were, well, I initially wanted to be self sufficient, being able to craft my own weapons and armor, but somehow, my melee and magic skills outstripped my ability to craft the weapons and armor I need LOL. At present, my aim is to 1) raise 2h weapon crafting to 150 in at least 20 weapons, 2) raise melee to 200 or better, 3) raise heal to at least 150, and 4) raise elemental to at least 150. Do I need to focus, or what? *hehehe* At least with armorcrafting, I'll raise that every now and then,, but not with the drive that I'll be giving the weapons. And dig, well, digging for all the mats I'll need, well, chances are by the time I can craft Q160 weapons, I'll be digging Q190 to q200 in desert, so, I'm not too worried about that
As to what order I'll achieve these goals, I imagine that I'll wind up with the crafts raised to those levels first, as digging and crafting can be done solo *hehehe*
And one overriding goal I have, that I try to reach everytime I play, is to have fun
Sometimes that means doing things that don't have any direct impact on skill levels, such as finding the next dig spot in a new area, or trekking to help someone get to the other nations. Cool stuff like that
