As far as the whole idea, I think the system in general is too screwy to get any more "realistic" by making you travel to sell higher goods. That would jsut be a nuisance.
I'm in favor of a change to limit wealth accumulation, but just putting a dapper limit per day on merchants isn't a good idea imo, either. Then it's first come wins, which isn't fair.
no no no.. gohs i really didnt make this clear.. Its not an NPC has £20mill for the whole day thats it.. i ment £20million per each player.. so i can sell £20 mill then redslayer can coem and sell £20 mill and you can come sell £20 mill etc etc etc

That doesn't sound like it would improve realism at all, hehe. Very odd merchant behavior, limiting purchases on a spending cap per each customer per day? If he still has dapper left to buy from PlayerX who comes after me, he should still be buying from me too.
Also, it's too simple a system to be fair for wealth accumulation limitation. The player who gets on for one hour every day can make seven times more dapper then the one who plays seven hours on Saturdays.

There is already a limit in place regarding the number of items you can have for sale on the merchants. Or, at least, that was the case over a year ago; you couldn't have more than 128 items up for sale. Note that a stack of mats counts as a single item, but I think the limit in place is about the only reasonable one there can be, really. Oh, and I voted
On a slightly related topic, is there a limit to how much you can mark up an item for sale on the merchants?

I don't know about anything else but I think something needs to be done to stop them just being used as storage and making them more useful for buying materials. A max limit on the price markup (500% maybe?) or no buying back your own merch. Something.

Why would you change something that in my opiinion. theres nothing wrong with it Devs are going flat out now ,and you want them to change the trading interface.its all the same for everyone so i dont think theres a problem.and yea with the changes you are talking aboutwill in fact made it harder. because then you have to travel extra distance to sell your materials. question where are the appartments , and guild appartments located .. answer in the main citys where the mechs are all low lvl traders

Frankly only one thing really springs to mind regarding this:
Neutrals get nerfed again
Watch us all move to the desert and start using Dyron for all our trading...
Oh, hang on...

3 solutions i'd like to see:
1. immediate buy back of last item sold at that merchant (for those times you sold the amp)
2. no buy back otherwise, to stop the storage/free transport
3. quantity related sell/buy price. if there are 5000 stuffing and 2 lining why is the merchant still paying same price for lining, when there is little demand compared to lining.

That makes no sense to me, being cut off from the towns stops us trading.
Dyron's OK - we still get the TP.
The Matis 250 town is doable with a swift jog.
Zorai's a bit of a bummer.
Tryker is just downright painful swimming to Avendale.
It doesn't make sense to exclude neutrals from those towns, the zone exclusion I can handle (once the factions get messed up with spires it'll be more fair) but exclusion from the towns doesn't make sense at all in the context of the game. I suspect it's something to do with zones and slightly lazy coding of the restriction though.

2. - oh yes

1. - oh HELL yes

(the amps, the sword, the armour...

)
3. I'm not too sure about... it makes sense and all but it seems (to my limited knowledge) like something way more complicated to implement than the other two, and I really don't want those devs getting distracted any more than they need to be
