you know they have a really, really crappy thumbnail for the link to the ring feature, it would be enough to make me not give it any attention if i wasn't a player.. maybe a mod/dev can provide a nicer one

I just popped in here to say that the OP's strategy worked. I am here specifically because of the rating on MMORPG. What I really was looking for was a first-class FREE game, but those seem to be quite rare. So far I like everything I've seen here (in the two days since I downloaded the game) and will most likely pony up for at least the first month.
This is really an amazing game; I'm not sure why I had never heard of it before...
