hmm, well how can i say this without being harsh
if you expect to be able to wander around without paying attention to your surroundings then yes, this game is going to seriously frustrate you. However if you are prepared to stop, think and take some time to get to grips with your enviroment then you will be richly rewarded. Dying is not a big deal, whatever level you are, but you should try and learn something from the experience.
The blurb about Atys being a living planet is justified and true. its not some game where [random_mob_1] is dropped on [random_map_12] and sits there until a player kills it. Everything interacts, carivoires will hunt, herbs will huddle together for protection, often helping out their species or species they are related to (you dont see this behaviour on the islands - its turned off to make things
easier for newbies). mobs move around, migrate in different seasons, etc, etc. If you just want something to sit there until you attack it then 'tis probably not the game for you..
I'm not suggesting you can pick up the skills necessary to move about freely in an hour, and you shouldn't expect to. but rest assured learning how to sneak is essential unless u plan to wander around in a group the whole time you are here - there are plenty of things that can kill anyone quite easily, maxed level or not ;=)
