Oh the Bane of the 4 day forced vacation coming up!!!

We need an outlet....damn you Ryzom for drawing us into your ever so deep web of love/hate relationships and sometimes quiet solitude of digging...

I just hope the Sci-Fi channel and liquer store is prepared for this.

I wonder how many people looked at the title of this thread and thought it was going to be a vitriolic rant

Instead it's really quite bittersweet Poor Rellis! There have been many times when I've put off cleaning the bathroom or starting the dinner so I can dig just one...more...source... But this is your future Rellis, and you're very right to be taking it so seriously. I wish you all the best with your revision, and the exams themselves, and I really hope you find the self-discipline to remove the plugs from your power leads, or bury your pc in a box in the garden, just for these vital few weeks.

[edit] it was just pointed out to me that you will probably need your computer for revision, so you'll need to go and dig it back up outta the garden I'm afraid! The only answer is to set up some form of electrocution device that sends a high voltage through your body every time you click on 'connect' to Ryzom. Don't worry, the frizzy-haired Einstein look is very This Season

Well, we could always ALL of us, the whole server go invade some other game for a week! ;D.

Would be very cool to get all of Ryzom to form a guild in some other game of little consequence (something meaningless like WoW comes to mind), and play together for a week, might also serve to cool off some that have gotten confused between 'player vs. player' and 'character vs. character' .

Would have to be a game with a free trial though. I think it would be great for all of Ryzom to be in the same guild for a few days !

Though I don't think we'd stay more than the 4 days the server is down here

i shall be playing eve online for those 4 days and i already have a chat chanel setup called 'ryzom' there is a free trial i think so all come and have a play

Seriously though - consider asking someone beyond reproach, like your tutor, counsellor, form teacher, whoever it is, actually a priest would be ideal, being essentially impartial, to change your password until your exams are all done. Your exams are far more important than a couple of weeks of Ryzom.

i actually found the solution go to college library and stop tryin to study at home. plus gonna leave laptop at home tomoro as today was just surfin forums every hour or so. but all in all i got good bit of study in so i can come home for few hours guilt free gaming thx all for all your ideas, mebe next year i will use the enuffpc as 2nd yr in my course is supposed to be damn tough.

I guess we all in this boat at times judging by everyones ease at relating to the situation, jus gotta have the willpower to decline the pull of instant gratification and do study first.

hehe i feel like a kid again when the mother would say homework first games later .. .guess we all big kids at times
