Hehe, glad your enjoying it, move to the main land before the trial ends though, as the game improves over there
. BTW: is there a search function here? couldn't find it!
Top right hand side of the post listings, or the drop down menu at the bottem of this page
1. I noticed the game is very... strange, the creatures weapon names, etc...
Origonality is refreshing, say no to elves
I also saw you get guns later in the game?
You can get guns from level 1, but they are exspensive due to ammo
I also saw some things in screenshots that look a bit high tech... Doesn't that "weird up" the game too much? swords, armour and... guns? launchers? Is this implemented in a believeable manner?
other than the Karavan aliens, its not realy high tech, everything is made from animal or plant parts hehe.
2. Some upgrades to your character like hitpoints and metabolism seem to be available from all 4 skill branches. Am I correct in assuming that if I want to be a fighter, I should get all my hitpoints, metabolism, etc. uppgrades from the OTHER skill trees, so I can save more FIGHTING skill points for offensive weapon moves? I guess, given enough time, you could max everything, but that's gonna take a lot of time, no? It seems like a good strategy to do it this way.
once you past 50 your meele fighting tree splits up into 3 more trees, and again at 100 for reach of those, so points are not a worry, you may find it hard to raise other skills (say harvest) if you use your harvest poins to get hit point upgrades
3. Does your character have stats? I couldn't find a window for stats...just hitpoints, sap(funny name for mana!), etc... There are upgrades to stats, so they must be some where?
Press 'P'. Yea, Sap is esentialy Mana, it is what gives all creatures there power
4. How does dual wield work? I seem to do just the damage from my main. I unequip my dagger offhand and I do the same damage...
When duel wielding tou dont get penultys like in other games, but your skills only affect the main hand weapon, this makes it much lower damage than a two handed weapon (But you get added style points)
Thanks in advance if someone bothers to answer my questions
Hehe, you areoviously too used to other games, as you can see, theres always many people who find it no bother at all
(Replys in bold) Welcome to Ryzom, hope you stay and ejoy it
