pfft nice first post

but as it's your first you are forgiven for forming such a misguided opinion. read a few hundred threads if you want a better idea of the general forum chatter, and as you probably know if you've played other games people come to forums to vent their frustrations, that doesnt happen a lot here although their are some emotive issues such as PvP.

in much the same way as you shouldnt judge a book by its cover, play the game my friend before making such inflammatory posts.

Forums bring out the worst in people. I too suggest you judge the community ingame instead of on the forums. :) (But make sure you start judging after you move to the mainland, not on the starting island.)

I'm getting old, does that make me mature?

The forum has had its moments, true - but the general feeling is that players get along and are here to have fun together.

*sigh* some people are mature and make mistakes (like me I think im pretty mature but at times ...) There is no need to judge a whole comunity from few threads...

go read WoW forums
go read SWG forums
go read eq2 forums
then re-read Ryzom forums

:p

Even the flame fests are normaly more mature than the mature posts on other forums.

Forums are a palce to vent anger, you wil lfind the game has very little immature (attitude not age) players.

/agree

The thing that shocked me the most when I started reading the SoR forums is how well behaved people are here! I've played a lot of games and spent a lot of time on forums; these are without doubt the most civilized official game forums I have ever seen.

My opinion is that the OP is either trolling or has very little experience in how game forums work...

lol, Nightblade for guild Bard!
I could say something on-topic but why change the habit of a lifetime? And anyway, it's all been said already.

Except ....

This mature thing ... is it supposed to be good? I have some mild and some extra mature cheddar in my fridge, and I find the mild smells better, while the extra mature has a certain bite :D
