It's great to see a new face, and I hope you haven't been discouraged by some of the negative posts on the forum this weekend. If you have been reading them, just know that no one would be so upset if we didn't love this game as much as we do - and love a great deal of the people that play it.

I started playing Ryzom about 6 months ago (an SWG refugee here too) and the biggest thing that I noticed right away is how friendly and helpful *every single person I met* was. If I had questions, there were instant answers, if I needed help, there were many offerings.

Anyway, I'm glad to see a new face upon Atys, and I hope you will enjoy every minute!

Any one whos played a lot of mmorpg's knows to take the forum posts with a pinch of salt. everyone in game is very well mannered, forums are always used for venting and arguing

Im glad to see the new players are still getting a good welcome (although i stil lsay they need to change the damn island/add a newbi helper channel)

Played SWG on the Eclipse server.

And whilst I have seen the odd negative post in here over the last few days, it means nothing...it's action in gam,e that count for me....heck total strangers come up to you in this game and offer to help.....just because they can and it's not just one or 2 people...it's almost everyone.

Welcome aboard, mate. We're a bunch of Farstarians mainly (but other servers too) who moved part of our 3 yrs old guild to Ryzom. Come and have a look for yourself. If you liked the old SWG feeling from release when no vehicles were in game, when no forests of harvester were anywhere, when encumbrance made the crafters work really a delicate art, when the buffs didn't transform every pve fight in a solo comedy you'll like this one I reckon.
