Is the target allowed to ...
try to hide in the Karavan Temple of Light?
buy themselves a guildhall?
disguise their radar signature by getting themselves killed?

How dare you call my mekkie an exploiter! Come over to me and say that again!
(not allowed to take advantage of the mount bug then, I guess?)

Heh, it was actually just a random silly comment

I take it there's a bug with mounts then?

Actually I think Nevrax managed to fix it in patch 110 back in December. Sometimes when you dismounted from your mount other players couldn't see you, although they could hear you talking if you were within earshot. Sometimes they would see your mount in your place, or if they targeted you by name to try to find you they would run over and find themselves talking to your mount
Offtopic, sorry
I'd volunteer to be a runner too, though I have technical problems with getting ingame at the moment. I'm not sure about the kill at the end of the hunt, though, that might be fine for high level characters, but I doubt I could kill anyone over lvl 150 even if I felt like it. Maybe the chase could be over on first melee hit, proving that you were able to touch the target. But you never meant this to be a formal sort of thing, did you, harvester? Maybe you have already had a few chases?

Duh, thanks for jogging the rusty memory Jamela

Indeed, I remember the bug now, and suffered it myself some time ago - although I kind of expected it's fix to be *ancient* history rather than recent history!
Back on topic, I think the idea is great - I'd be pretty useless at both hiding and seeking at the moment, as I still need to re-adjust to the game. I still remember some good hiding places in Witherings though, although we'd have to be talking high level areas if no clues are given - hence the 2-man team idea would be great in the Witherings

DP could well be costly though, for the seekers
It would probably be fun to organise this like the pirate event, but that takes time and people willing to do the organising - but it does mean the 'event' can apply to more people

does the hunted homin get to fight back when hes discovered? that way the winner is the person who gets the actual kill in sys info - so maybe hunters cud run in teams as opposed to solo trying to track me down.
or i could be a sitting duck

just a thought
Dam right you get to fight back lol

do u think they could modify one of the pvp zones so instead of selecting defend/attacked
it would say Hunted/hunters that could work well i think
The winner would be the person that gets the kill as shown in sys info window

To follow up on some of your great ideas
My main aim was it to be just some harmless fun everyone can take part in and see how it goes. I was going to announce it in around chat one evening when i had enough of grinding lol
I would like to keep it to a low lvl mob area to avoid instances of DP lol cause chances are i would get aggro'd instead of hunted lol
I would also be giving out cryptic clues as to where i was to help narrow down the search. a lot would depend on the amount of hunters i think as it could be over very quick lol.
hunters can work in a team or how ever they choose i think.
Jamela i will checkout both places u mentioned tonight to see if i can find some good hiding places
cheers
