You might want to re-read the original posting:
Tidings wrote:The King wishes to view the might and wonder of the forces at his command and issues edict that the guilds of Matis are to parade before him, to celebrate and to demonstrate the wonders of their crafting and their martial skill before him.
I don't really see a call for unity and peace in that, but rather a gathering of forces. If I were able to attend this event, I would do so battle-ready (tags up), but with then intention only to respond to Kamist troublemakers and not to start a fight. Given that it is necessary for both parties to be battle-ready here on Atys, why do you call for the Karavaneers to drop their tags and not the Kamists? Last I checked Yrkanis is firmly aligned with the Karavan.

I'm sure your personal intention is to attend this event peacefully. But can you say that of all your brothers? If they come looking for trouble, they will find it. If they come in peace, they will find peace.

The King of Matis is calling for the Guilds of Matis to parade before him , he makes no mention of Cult Alligence , should I as a Guild leader refuse his call ?

It is true my loyaltys are divided but an edict from the King in whoes land my Guild is based cannot be ignored

I call on all who attend to do so peacefully , lets atleast hear what the King has to say before starting any trouble

[my Kami alligned Guild is located in Yrk , 3 of its members are Matis born , 1 Zorai , 1 Fyros]

Sorry, I did not mean to imply you shouldn't attend. Just that he's not calling for a "peace and unity" event. It's a martial event. Yes, it should be attended peacefully. IMO, any with peaceful intentions are welcome. Even if you oppose the Matis, come on by with peace in your heart and see the Matisian military might. :)

I shall be in Yrkanis at the time, I shall also hope that other kami's will be there. Yrkanis has not colsed its doors to us *mumbles* yet.

The shielding act was not brought up by the King. but he is playing it off like, prehaps it was his idea. This King, in my opinion needs to feel secure. to surround him by his supporters so he can sleep safely at night. If i get the oppitunity to talk to Yrkanis personally there will be plenty i have to say to him.

I am not an activist, nor a homin who wishes violence. I wish to be able to walk on atys without fear of being persucuted because of my beliefs and my willingness to show them.

Regards

Tyilin

(IC btw ;) )

Why do you say that tagged eople are troublmakers if they attack?..you have your tag on, which means you invite attack. noone is a troublemaker for taking you up on the invitation to attack. If you and several karavan parade around tagged, why is a kamist a troublmaker for attacking?..its the PvP aspect of the game now. There shouldn't be rules of permission for attack if you are tagged..if you ask me, you are a troublemaker for implying that someone should first inquire and second seek permission to engage you in PvP if you are tagged..no matter what you are doing..be it crafting, afk, parading around in your underwear, or worshiping yer silly king. IF YOU HAVE A TAG ON..YOU WANT TO BE ATTACKED ITS SIMPLE

(OOC) do we really have to have this argument every time the issue of faction pvp comes up? It's really getting quite tedious. Talking about the tag is OOC, referring to Kami's possibly coming to disrupt this event is my way of RP'ing it. Sorry if that offends you so much. I'll quit trying to enjoy this part of the game; I'm obviously doing it wrong.

OOC:

Gotta say, I see the tag as IC. Blame the gods for not letting a neutral interfere if you like, thats what I do.

Which is why you gotta wonder why Jena didnt protect that poor little Matis girl...

I couldn't agree more. I regret bringing up the possibility that a Kamist might see this and an opportunity to attack your King (assuming it's even possible).

I've stopped reading the general forum because of the 'rinse and repeat' discussions on faction PvP. Don't you know that it's classed as trolling to repeat the same arguments (as Jyudas would tell you if he wasn't so unjustly banned)? Give it a rest will ya?

Yep more war mongering. ;) :D

First off Oldmess, The reason I post an arguement about faction PvP..its to raise tensions..it seems to be working quite well as you seem to be pretty wriled up now about me arguing with you. You aren't doing anything wrong, you're taking RP and IC and game stuff personally and letting it really bother you. I'm seeing the PvP in this game increasing, and i'm really enjoying it as a break from day to day grinding. I am by no means offended by you, I'm simply trying to stir the pot and increase tensions so people don't let the PvP fade off to something that only upsets everyone when anyone trys to do it.

So it's me who will appologize to you for not first being clear what i am doing.

So here it is again ;) wear your tag and risk being killed silly homin.....cuz i'm lookin for ya :D And if ya parade with yer silly king while tagged..i WILL attack, no matter the odds against me, because i can :D
