Anything known of this Silk, such as race, affiliations, residence, friends, associates? And if it is sabotage you ar suffering, who are your foes? As to the effects being suffered if the report is partially true perhaps unstable/poisonous sap? or goo influence? If the rumours are untrue an official statement would assist greatly to sweep aside speculation.

Aajolea, Rashan, Jelathnia and all other respectable bounty hunters, this is what Evolution know about Silk.

Silk is a Matisian vagabond whose only god is dappers. He's been seen all over Atys; both in the Thesos pub and recently sneaking around Loria Lagoons. Unconfirmed rumours say he was once a member of the Border Blights. Approach him with caution, he is most likely armed.

Evolution just want the thief punished and the still missing reports returned to it's rightful owner. It's vital that these documents does not end up in the wrong hands.

Of course thre is nothing wrong with our Outpost or the materials it produces.

I fear that blackmail may have been Silk's original aim, a typically sneaky underhand trick from such a low life criminal is to be expected. Well instead of paying a ransom we will pay a bounty as previously posted.

The reason we are so keen to get the report back is that I am sure in his quest to extort dappers from us, Silk will try or already has managed to "manipulate" the data to suit his own evil aims.

There is nothing wrong at Loria Stronghold, just a bout of Atysian Flu that has affected some of the workers..............

While this character Silk may have stolen from you, it is apparant that something unusual is going on at Evolution's outpost. And that it may indeed pose a health risk to all involved including the buyers of Evolution's products. As a trader of items I really must insist upon an independant review of the situation. Otherwise i may be forced to withhold purchasing products known to be made with materials from your outpost.

Perhaps you can provide some further evidence that all is well, while the theif is being hunted down...

Dear customers

I have asked Proh-phessohr for a statement regarding safety. I am certain this will calm down the anxiety Silk has stirred up.
Proh-phessohr wrote:In reply to above question :

Safe, what is safe in todays time ? Is traveling the lands without proper protection or skill to sneak safe ? Is harvesting with the risk of facing a gas explosion or a total blow up safe ?
Before labeling such things I belive that the need to establish the said measurements are needed.
Speaking of safe from my point of view is that the materials has undergone throuogh testing and have all come out passing the said levels required.
I can only lean on my testings and results in this matter, but if they seems to be untrustable, then a questioning reagarding all materials will be needed.
I am a scientist and that be my line of profession and it tells me that every little material, be it crystal or others all have been passed as good, relieable, and high quality material.
If my result turns out fine, then the material is fine. Otherwise I would not have this job.

what an OUTRAGE! Being called a shady character and a vagabond. A bounty on my head as if I am some low life criminal! Blackmail? It had not even crossed my mind...

Nevertheless, I will have to be carefull now on Atys, some loonies on Atys do anything for dappers. I'll see if I can visit some associates in the desert.

Considering your predicement, i'd say visiting the lands of the mercenaries would be possibly the worst decision with a price on your head. Unless of course your intent is to hire bodyguards?

Mmmm, that Proh-phessohr is such a nice guy. Would you believe he left his notes in the sand in Fairhaven today? Maybe they fell from his mektoub that was just standing near...

But it had some interesting things in them..

Item : 2A-d

Location : Found stuck in the main drill core rotation unit.

Preferences : Composition reminds mainly of Crystals but some fluxuations in color is noticeable. Color tends to vary towards green and sometimes can eem as it is pulsating slowly. Several units discovered, seems as they are too ard for the drill to brake through, they comes up with the stream of other rystals. Direct contact seems mortal. The Homin that removed the first of hese object recived heavly blisters on his hands and was forced to stay in bed for days before any recovery was made. The item he brought was placed on a researchers shelf next to some flower. The ascending day the flowers ere all wittered. Even handling with Heavy Armour Gloves results in burn like damages on the hands. Items found are currently stored outside the Outpost n wait for further expertise to investigate them closer. The local fauna that as come in contact with this container have all fallen down within hours and those eating the flesh have lived only but hours longer. Currently we are trying to develop a better casing to store these items in and hopefully we will be able to produce such container within two days.

Until then we pray that we shall not find more of these..

Item : 2A-d

Location : Protective canister C4-1

Preferences : We have successfully managed to create a container that will hopefully keep us, and everyone else, safe from the effects these Crystals have on us. The Homin that first found and brought it to our attention is now well on recovery and is expected to return to normal duties within a day or two. We have asked for external guidance in this matter and I have just recived word that Becquer, the well known Goo researcher, is on his way here to get a closer look on the Crystals. For now to ease on the situation we have deicided to call them “Radia Crystals”. The animals have that had previous contact with the Radia have now been cremated and the ashes buried. We do not know what this means, but even the ashes of the cremated critters were having a green like coloring. It seems as the current container to store the Radia Crystals in do well in lowering the effects they have on their surroundings but I fear that it will not be enough so our work continues on finding a permanent container for them. And hopefully using it to transport them away from here. To where I don’t know but I hope that Becquer can provide some ideas for that.

We recived two more of the Radia Crystals as I was finishing this report..

And even a 3rd note. He should really take care of his stuff...

proh-Phessohr wrote:Outpost Researchers report.

Item : 2A-d

Location : Protective canister C4-1

Preference : Becquer arrived this morning and we worked on the canister. It seems that we had a moment of luck as the combination with another material that is found by the drill also works as a neutralization conductor for the effect of the Radia Crystals. This could be why they have little or no effect while being buried in the ground. We successully managed to increase the protective preferences of the C4-1 canister and we are at the moment preparing to make a holder that can be used on a Mektoub to transport it away from here. Becquer belives that the Goo might prove to be a place to neutralize the crystals. From this I belive there can be three outcomes:
1. It will destroy the crystals
2. It will have no effect
3. I do not dare to think of this.
We have not decided on this, it is just an idea and we are awaiting
authorization. We have also discussed the possibility to create or modify some Heavy Armours to protect us while we are transporting them and it seems as the material we used for the container can be used for the armours too.

Luckilly no more crystals yet.
I wonder if I can believe my eyes, this late in the evening. I'll think about it a bit tonight, and maybe I might need to visit some friends tomorrow to figure out what this really means...

Taking the notes at face value:

What these 'Radia crystals' seem to be is some form of toxin, not previously noted in the region. Thus one could presume that the material at the outpost has properites to shield the harmful effects of the crystal, thus is a natural neutraliser. This would likely be the maga creeper (which acts as an accelerator/catalyser of sap based powers). Which also leads to the conclusion the toxin is sap based too. Goo can a destroyer/corruptor of sap, so goo related material would act to neuralise part of the toxin as shown in the research.

If summations are correct then liasing with other OP(s) that share the same material, could add valuable clues (southend dunes farm for one, which i have a vested interest in).

Also does wearing say an aen armour block the toxin? the armour is not of atys and seems sealed with breathing filters.
