The calculation as to XP is based on various factors, but race isn't one of them. The primary factors are level of the mob (see the Q level of the mats when you quarter them) vs. the level of the skill you're using to fight with.ark014 wrote:Hint - to get XPs in a hurry make a Tryker Island char, they seem to get more XPs per animal killed than any of the other 3 Ryzom races.
If in a team, XP gets adjusted a bit and then divided equally amongst the members of the team that actually participated.
Some mobs have multipliers that make them worth more xp.
Somewhere, there's a great post on this stuff, but I don't have that link handy. But, the great homins in Ballistic Mystix used that post to put together an app that helps you determine how much xp you'll get from what mobs:

The one thing that does vary from race to race is the layout of the mobs on the starter island. But, if you pick on the same basic level of mob, you'll get the same xp regardless of what race you are.
