I do have a question finally hehe. How do you kill those kipees?!?! lol. If they are on starter island, then it scares me to think what is on the mainland??? I don't want to leave until I can kill it. Any tips or advise will be greatly appreciated.

The kipee are fairly unique because they can get you in a stun loop that makes you feel... umm... inadequate. They are passive so at least they wont attack you first like many kitin.

My advise is similar to others... leave for the mainland. Newbielands have limited mobs to choose from to most effectively level your skills. Much easier to gain levels on Caprini than Kipee...

Just watch out for da gingo's !

I did the exact same thing; stayed on starter island until I could kill one of those solo.

1. Get to or near level 20 melee
2. Get a decent 2 handed weapon
3. Have self-heal life ready
4. Only attack one that is alone. They are social and a 2nd one would be too much

It can be done and it felt real good the first time I killed one.

If you team with someone and they spend the entire fight healing you, it can be done sooner than level 20. But just don't attack one next to another; wait for them to wander.

Yeah Kipees on starter island are what, 1.5m high? The biggest I've seen were about 5m tall I think... And thats only Kipees. I think Kinchers are still bigger, and so are some other mobs...

Greetings and salutations. Welcome to the wonderfull world of Atys. A place where the Matis commune with the trees, the Zorai adventure through the jungle, the Fyros swelter in the desert and the Tryker frolic on the beach. Its good to be a Tryker isn't it

Reading your post I was stuned by how similar your experience is to Kyella's and my own. So to paraphrase...

I have actually lost track of when I started playing. My girlfriend (irl) and I started looking for a new MMORPG to play because we have been with our old one for 6 years in my case and 4 years in my partners and we both fancied an alternative. I will mention the main old one now, it was and is still called Everquest.

We are both Trykers. Her name is Kyella and I'm Silania. We look forward to meeting both of you when you get to the mainland. Indeed this place is full of helpful players and i think you will like it here. If you have a question any of us will be only to happy to answer. As of right now though, I am a veteran from several MMORPG's and in the beginning spent time figuring things out on my own through research and experience and then passing on my findings to Kyella but as we progressed I decided that it was Kyellas turn to figure things out.

As to the guild thing, Kyella and I spent three or four weeks non guilded just looking around, getting a feel for the game and looking at all the pretty things in the world of Atys.

I hope you enjoy Atys as much as Kyella and I do but more importantly i hope you have as much fun as we do.
