Hey guys, a few questions
Re: Hey guys, a few questions
I'll look into that, and I'll probably say howdy later today. Sorry I haven't checked this thread in a bit, had to do that sleep thing. Character name is Amywiethiel.katriell wrote:Certainly. The Samsara host a "Pub Night" RP event in the Thesos (Fyros town) bar every Tuesday. It sounds like you're Matis, so if your guild hasn't already trekked you up to the desert send a tell* to Jelathnia and I can probably escort you.
What's your character name? I often find myself in spontaneous RP in the Around channel lately, and I'd send you a tell to let you know where it's happening, if you want.
*Type /tell Jelathnia into the chat box.
I noticed that cliff, I'll have to try that. Thanks for the tip.ajsuk wrote:lol not these days, all you have to do is walk to the far left cliff face and follow it around, theres a max of 1 dog, which again you can avoid if you wait for him to move. This gets you to the arena, and again, aslong as you keep your eyes pealed, gets you to Natae and TB too.
Re: Hey guys, a few questions
your right about the " not so fun" part
Re: Hey guys, a few questions
I've played a Month now, and have ended billing once so far . came back to game becuase my Husband wanted me to play with and then he quits the game. ... I will have to say the game is boring and if i play for more than a hour at a time thats something... I cant put my finger on why the game is .. though. I joined a guild that my Brother-in-law was in, only to have him leave the guild not so soon after. So basically everyone i know in game is gone and with all guilds the officers all hang to together and dont group or talk to that much of the underlings... The missions that I can do at my lvls.. 30's.. are not that hard but finding npc's in town.. Well, that needs some improvements. its a struggle to not quit the game. I just wish it would get better somehow. Not to thrilled with my guild and if i leave i'd have no armour made the mistake of taking some from the guild.
what to do what to do ?
And I forgot I finally decide to start grouping and this guy invites me in his group { was just him} and i swear he took me to a dangerous spot disbands and then dies and respawned.. I ran to come back to rez him .. He's gone so I try to run back to town and die on the way.. Gingo's and many of them...
so bascially he he left me to die..
well, alot of people in this guild have either quit the game, or left it. I'd say maybe if there are more than 5 people on at one time that is something.. but mainly 2-3 at a time.

Sounds like you need a new guild. I don't know what guild you're in now (and no offense to them), but it doesn't sound like you're fitting in with them.
My suggestion would be to make a post in the guild forum asking for a guild and saying what you're looking for. Or send me a tell IG and I can make a few suggestions based on what you're after if you wanna keep things quiet.
The game is good. But having the right people to play it with is essential. Being with people of a like mind helps alot.

Re: Hey guys, a few questions
As Kostika said you just haven't found the right guild yet, but more than that you just haven't got comfortable IG. There are folks around that are always willing to help, at your level you shouldn't be bored. Folks like you described are probably in a similar situation as you. Visit the local stables and look for folks to team with. It shouldn't take more than a few minutes to see if you have someone worth playing with or not.pamelak wrote: I will have to say the game is boring and if i play for more than a hour at a time thats something... As long as you know what you want, there are going to be folks that can help you get there. Good luck...

Re: Hey guys, a few questions
Hello I am new to the game. I am currently on my 9th day in the game and I every day has been better than the last I can not imagine experiencing this game the way you describe. Dump that guild and find a good group of people. I was lucky enough to get recruited into an awesome guild when I started. My guild never has less than 5-6 people online and usually has 10 or more online I've only been playing a week but I have traveled nearly around the entire playable world Thank you RoD This game is amazing! I had trouble understanding it at first but I am getting it now. I still don't understand why guilds are so nice to each other but I can get used to it. I have played all the popular MMOs and in those games guild competition was cut throat. The people in this game are really helpful and they are actually nice. The only thing that I don't like about this game is that gingos and ragnus always know where I am and they can run 5 times faster than me. Oh and this game is not designed around the idea of soloing If I can't get a group I end up digging (harvesting) until I do get one lol. Anyway this game rocks! I think the biggest thing that affects how much fun a player has is the guild that he or she is in.pamelak wrote:I've played a Month now, and have ended billing once so far . came back to game becuase my Husband wanted me to play with and then he quits the game. ... My character's name is Boall and he is a Karavan Matis. He's not aligned with Karavan yet but I am working on it If any new players want to team up or just hang out send me a mail in game or just send me a tell I am not fond of the Kami ideals but I am friendly to anybody that doesnt have a pvp tag on.
Oh and one more thing Catalyzers are the best thing ever invented.

Re: Hey guys, a few questions
Gonna throw my 2 Newbie Dappers in here too....
One thing I found out *very* early on (I'm a complete newb here, only been playing about 7-10 days), is that Ryzom is unlike any other MMORPG that I've played...and I've played a *lot*.
Ryzom is not a game where you go from mission to mission and be *led* through leveling by NPC's. It's a game where you actually have to be active and think for yourself. I don't mean that in a bad way, I just mean that there are a lot of things to do - but *you* have to discover them. Yes, like *any* MMORPG, you are gonna have to get through the beginning grind to get levels, so that you can fight more effectively. Sorry, but that's just the way it is.
But I don't really see my beginnings as a "grind for xp"....instead, I look at it as a "grind for knowledge". I use this time, solo, to learn as much as possible from my mistakes and my successes....when I can't get my mind around something, I ask in guild and drive them crazy with all my newblet questions.
The missions in this game are really not meant to be used for getting xp better, or for learning how to play. From what I've seen, they are mostly about working on your Fame/Faction....something *you* are going to have to decide on, based upon the Lore and where you want your char to end up in the grander scheme of life on Atys.
I guess that's what I love so much about Ryzom. It's the first game I've played that doesn't "make" you choose a certain way to play. Everything....I do mean....everything is up to you. You decide what skills to progress; you decide what faction to join; you decide your fame....and ultimately *you* decide what to do with yourself for the maximum pleasure.
