Huge grats to Kost, the Samsara, and all who helped. I know Kost has been saving her pennies to cover this very eventuality and I'm so happy for you all

what an awesome 'manic' experiance that was. i didn't have time to take screnies lol. a question popped up somewhere whether mele peeps were needed. i feel that in th later rounds they helped sway the battles by having enough hp (woot for the new boots) to do suicide runs to draw fire and take out a few healers. woudl be interested to hear other ppls thoughts on this.
gl tonight. i'm not able to atend since i'll be nowhere near a ryzom enabled pc

No defense round tonight after all. Seems we scared them good and they're not coming back.
I was casting (ele and heal) in med armour and I know I found the extra HPs a life saver when chasing those meleers down as they did those suicide runs for the tribe healers.

Not to mention the extra hp on heavy armor.

Check out that movie and you can see me falling dead in the backbround. First I thought it was a lot of spells cast in my direction but then you can see more landing on an invisble (unteamed) homin charging the ones standing up.
I remember racing Jyudas and Rashan for the 3k xp in one hit very often, and an unnamed figher from the fluffy bunnies too.
But it seems we found challanging battles to fight, no matter the size or lvl of the group. Untill next time!

From the testing on ATS, Maruaders don't get a defense round. Defense round comes in when another guild covets your outpost. Not sure how threshold of the first OP battle comes into play for future battles. I didn't get to test that. I think there is a default threshold based on region, the attacker has to beat that by one to remain a contendar. The defending guild will then have to match or beat the attacker's score (against his bots and/or teams) to keep the outpost.
Based on ATS experience, the attackers can be thwarted pretty easily by preventing them from reaching the threshold during the attack round since the objective is to beat the bots within 5 minutes each. 24 rounds of bot attacks may make this harder to do than it was on ATS. The new HP boosts on MA and HA armor wasn't available during ATS so maybe its more of a battle now.
Life is changing on Atys.

The threhold that we got in our attack became the new threshold to beat.So if someone attacks us they'll need to beat a threashold of 15 (damn that server crash or it'd be higher). Not sure how that effects our defense round though if they beat it....All very confusing.

See the link for details of how the threshold works:
http://www.ryzom.com/?page=news&id=1441
When a guild has succeeded in taking over an outpost, the battle level the guild reached to conquer it becomes the new minimum threshold for the outpost. It will be the level that any guild wanting to control that outpost will have to exceed.
This threshold decreases over time, offering some protection after the takeover, but it wont stay long. The threshold will be at its maximum during the first two days, then decrease by one battle level every two days.
So it does go back down.

Understand that, but the attack/defense rounds stuff confuses me. Luckily others in the guild do understand it, so I don't have to

Well as I understand it:
During their 2 hour period the attackers have to get a level equal to or higher than the current threshold. The recorded level is the HIGHEST they get during the 2 hours, not the final level.
If they get the threshold, the owners have to do their defence round. The defenders then have to EQUAL the level the attackers got.
If they do they keep the outpost, if they don't the attackers get it.
