We have always been a pro kami pro fyros guild and proud of it, so this for us is ideal, gives us peace of mind to know that all members are following in the guilds footsteps.

i don't see ANY destroying going on here. there is only one limiting factor now:
there cannot be two people of different citizenship in the same guild.
there cannot be two people of different faith in the same guild.
(i'm not counting neutral in the above as it's essentially no faith, no citizenship)
now, there is only one condition under which this limiting factor can become active: if a player considers his citizenship or his faith more important than the guild he is in. and in that case said player shouldn't be in the guild in the first place.

You know, up until now I have disagreed with most of your posts in defence of the new guild membership system. But now that you say it like this, I realise that we have the same ideals, just from a slightly different PoV.
The only problem with this ideal is that Nevrax are making people choose between their guild and their faith, and they are doing it because they think faith is more important. (See
Part V, question I; "Your allegiance comes first")

In the world of SoR, your faith is clearly most important. If you have not read the lore, and participated fully in the game then you would not see it this way. Some of the game mechanics allowed you to make decisions in this world that would never have been allowed. The only ones who can partially be excused is the Trykers, and they are just confused with who to believe, not per se Neutral as some claim.
Many guilds have always followed staunch standards for why you are with them. Even if they are not a Big RP guild. There is a ton of material that tells you how you should feel, etc. It's a shame it is mostly out of game and not in game, but it is there.
If you are going to jump ship, it is pretty clear that there is 1 ship to jump to, if not you are stuck in the middle of the ocean carrying a cast iron sword. Good luck with that.
EDIT: Those who have failed to make decisions to this point because it was not convenient are now screaming bloody murder. Well, your opportunistic I can have everything time is over. Now you must choose, and choose wisely. Your decisions will change the way the world operates!!!

Actually, I'm feeling ok about things now. Went Kara. Not a big deal. Got my 3 more kara fame needed to get lvl 250 tp's. No issues there. Took the guild kara so the members can choose kara or neutral as they wish. No problem (didn't have any players who wanted to go kami). PvP flag is off so I can just play exactly as I always could, only with slightly different tp's.
It just remains for me to laugh about all the "faithful" Kami/Kara supporters who don't have enough fame with their faction to get lvl 250 tp's, the same people who spent all of EP2 shouting "We must kill all the *insert opposing faction here* in the name of *insert faction here*".

It is a good chuckle, they were clearly PvP folks and not faction nuts!!! Of course I do know some who have recently manipulated their fame just so they could do a Rite or the like. You probably should never have been able to do them anyway really.
Although I guess if you labored for it, it should be yours.
Smiling a bit myself,
Everyone is stresssed about fame, if you relax the fame missions can be a lot of fun, granted it may take you a bit, but it always did.

Hehe, I had almost all of my kara fame this time last year, and I've had most of the rites done for a few months now

Gone are the days when you get suprised that your long time friend has been secretly working for the kami. Your friend, born a Fyros, will now have to denounce his hertitage or seek a Fyros guild. Sure you can still write each other and hunt together but its not the same. The visits become less and less 'til you just nod to each other when you pass on the street. You forget who's turn it is to buy the first round. Too cheap you don't bother to strike up a conversation in case its your turn.
Destroyer of guilds? I'm not sure. Majority rules. If you want to part of the majority then you better get in line and aligned. Citzens can't be neutral, neither can the faithful. Neutrals are without fame or faith and left to wander and wonder. Neutrality is suddenly unfashionable. Racial bias and regilous doctrine is all the rage.

Wait, don't we come here to get away from real life? Hey, either way, I'm a Kami killin' Matis citizen by nature, even if I am a wee Tryker.
