Anyway I left SWG a few months ago. I played Eve for about a month then quit that losing all hope of finding a good MMO to settle into. I played them all except Ultima Online. All I can say this game is the best MMO that I have ever played and I have found the best guild that I have ever been in There is no other game multiplayer or single player that has the depth and realism that this game has. When I say realism I am referring to the amazing game world that this game has. For instance how the seasons change every week or so. The ambient creatures and weather effects are a nice touch too.

As for advice I would suggest reading all the lore on main website and learning about the factions and whatnot. Its good to know what you want to be and do before joining a guild. I would advise against following the Kami they are evil hehe

Another SWG refugee here, just found this game this week and so far im liking it. It has kept my interest for more than a day or 2 unlike WOW or EQ2.

Looking forward to playing. It's downloading now. Just from the 10-15 mins of looking through the boards, I like what I see in the community. It's definatly not like the warzone of the SOE boards.

I am excited and can't wait for it to finish downloading/patching.

I am an SWG refugee, I could not tolerate the NGE, and SOE's incredibly abusive attitude towards its veteran players.

I am Robert Kruck, Senior Software Engineer at Motorola. I was one of the people interviewed in Seth Schiesel's NY Times article (Dec 10, 2005) on SWG, SOE, and the NGE fiasco.

I was in Flurry, my chars were: Amphiaraus, Polyphemos, Memnon, Nanonik, Naeblis, Votreka, Flyingpancake, and Spinosaurus. I was a rebel and used my 8 Flurry accounts to raise millions of creds for Rebel PvP/GCW guilds in Flurry.

My Ryzom chars (all on Arispotle server) are:

Matis Island: Amphiaraus, Boadicea
Tryker Island: Altaira
Zorai Island: Otho
Fyros Island: Morbius

Amphiaraus is my leading char, I would like to get him to at least level 20-40 each in Fight, Magic, Craft, Harvest before leaving the n00b island.

You do not meet a guild clerk until the mainland. Once there you cannot return. You will be best rewarded by hitting the mainland sooner than later... Anything that can be done on n00b island can be done on mainland and more help is available...
